    Yes, he actually can turn into a human. In fact, as a human, he can merge with his own robo, though honestly, it reminds me more of Battlizers from Power Rangers.

    The character designs for Solarobo are done by Nobuteru Yuuki, who not only designed for Tail Concerto, but also Legend of Mana and even Chrono Cross. He's done plenty of anthropomorphic characters, and it seems to be one of his defining designer traits.

    Fun fact: 1 is "ichi" in japanese, so this is a possible play on the name "Kenichi" with "Pen-ichi". Whether this is the actual protagonist's name or not remains to be seen/played.

    Like I said, the game's just obscenely shallow for its own type and (sub?)genre. I had to cheat and max the character's speed so I can enjoy a moment with my bow. It's just that slow.

    Gaming a few games that just passed by.

    Spectrobes 2, even with some leftovers of the sluggish and shallow combat system of the prequel, is off to a good start in my book. In fact, looking at the game itself, it's beginning to prove that a Megaman Legends title for the DS isn't too far off.
