    I was trying to get a backup of a game to work and saw a post suggesting I try running the game on an external drive. So I went into the game's options under Multiman and selected "external" for drive and the emulate bluray option and the menu screen froze up on me ... couldn't save or exit out...

    Still new to hacking/ps3 so forgive me if this is a stupid question ... once I install a .pkg file, like say, a game update, I can then delete the .pkg file to free up space on my hard drive ... ... right?

    Thank you Magasor! Your answer was very detailed and I very much appreciate it! Can you tell me if it is okay to delete the files I mentioned-- install "install package files 2.00.pkg" and install "ftp_server.12.pkg--that show up under "games" in the xmb menu?
