    Well... After an eternity, I've been able to troubleshoot the flashcart on a DS Lite, and it works like a charm! So now, the issue is obviously the 3DS. If anyone have any ideas, I'm all ears.

    If you are confident enough, my recommendation would be to check the top screen ribbons and their connections for any visual damage or bad connection. If not, you could ask your "geekier" friends, maybe there's one with some electronic fixing experience that could lend you a hand.

    When I disassembled my 3DS (regular, not XL, but it will be similar I guess) to replace the stock charge port with a MicroUSB, I suffered A LOT with these upper lid busses. There are three of them, connected to the upper right corner of the motherboard, one in one side and two in the other side...

    Sorry, I forgot to mention that I troubleshooted with two Micro SDs: the original 16 GB SanDisk Ultra that I bought for the flashcart two years ago and, to be sure, with an old 2GB Adata. Both low-level formatted witn Panasonic SD Formatter (the good old 3.1 version, ah, memories...) and tested...
