    I just installed Animal crossing .cia and started playing it. As far as I can tell, nothing updated and there were no hangups. Triforce heroes also seems to work with .cia. I am in gateway mode so I don't know if that matters or not.

    Unless the game needs 9.5 (which I am trying to figure out also) to play I don't think you even need to update but I could be wrong about that. If you plan to use a .3ds file you may need to inject a personal header. I believe .cia files don't need a header so they are fine. You will have to...

    I just started to mod my N3DS 9.0 US and for some reason 1.4.16 had a hang up when I loaded it saying loading file list and never doing anything. When I put 1.4.15 on my microsd it loaded right away.

    Hardware I just bought a replacement top screen. Everything but the new screen works now.

    Thanks for the info. I might try my old screen tomorrow. It was playing games fine but the crack started to leak so I wanted it to look nice again.

    The top screen turns on and is black (just the light coming from it really). Do I only need to check the ribbon going to the top LCD? I have checked the connection to the mother board many times and I think it is fine. Do I need to check other ribbons or the other side of the ribbon? Will it...

    I actually meant on the screen. I figured if I broke it once I might again so I got a 2 year warranty on the top screen. it was $2 and I guess it worked out.
