    Homebrew WiiSX Beta 2 teaser

I just tried Persona 2 and it hangs before the very first (tutorial) battle. Interestingly enough, it also plays random voice clips for a couple of minutes until it really freezes, it's kind of amusing. This happened using Dynarec, I haven't tried Pure Interpreter mode yet. Oops, I almost...

    Homebrew Wii 64 1.1 Beta - Honey

Yeah, Banjo indeed runs great, don't be thrown off by the fact that the cutscenes/attract mode don't run very well, the actual game plays extremely well aside from the occasional slowdown (which leads to slightly garbled music) and missing textures on the occasional model. Awesome work!

    Homebrew Zork: Grand Inquisitor

Looks like the game was made in 1997, I think that's a tad too beefy for the Wii to emulate. Also, I don't think there are any emulators for Windows 95+ games for the Wii. Some early DOS game work pretty well in DOS Box, though.

    Homebrew Wii64 RELEASED!

Funny, the PAL N64 VC games I've played so far also struck me as a tad choppy (particularly Majora's Mask). Do they really run at 50Hz even though I've set my Wii to PAL60? I might be imagining things but given how they "feel" it might very well be possible.

    Homebrew nds emu

Being able to play DS games on the Wii would be the bomb. I sometimes wonder why Nintendo doesn't make a "DS Player" for the Wii but I guess the way some features would have to be implemented (such as the mic) might end up coming across as too hack-ish. By the way, given that the DS really...

    Homebrew Wii64 RELEASED!

Awesome work, emulating Mario 64 with this feels way better than the VC version to me. I also tried Quest 64 to check if it's really as bad as people seem to think it is and I was really surprised by how well it ran and how clean it looked.

    Homebrew WiiEngine with SDHC Support?

Speaking of WiiEngine (I have 1.5): I recently got my rip of Dracula X to play music again (my upgrading to 1.5 broke this, apparently) by re-ripping the music files but now the songs are played in the wrong order, i. e. the intro cinematic music plays during the naming menu and it all goes...

Homebrew Far East of Eden Zero and SNES 95x GX

Thanks, I'll try that but I somehow suspect that the function might need deeper changes to the code to work with the limited amout of RAM of the GC/Wii (which may be the reason why they took it out). Still I'll give it a shot.

Homebrew Far East of Eden Zero and SNES 95x GX

Oh, duh. Due to the (admittedly strange) fact that both emulators are currently at 1.51 I indeed confused the two. And yes, I also tried the game in SNES9x 1.51 for PC and like you said, the emulator expects you to specify the location of the graphics packs which isn't implemented in the GX...

Homebrew Far East of Eden Zero and SNES 95x GX

Like I wrote, it does work in ZSNES 1.51 but requires that you use the graphics packs. SNES 9X GX seems to fail to recognize them, though. Blah, looks like the actual name of the emulator is SNES9x GX, I always spell that wrong.

Homebrew Far East of Eden Zero and SNES 95x GX

I always wanted to give this game a go (I speak some Japanese and there's a FAQ out there so I should be OK) but I'm experiencing a bit of weirdness with the game. I know it uses some special kind of compression and used to require graphics packs to emulate but as far as I've read the...

Homebrew how do you run gamecube iso's on wii?

Ummm, like they said, running Gamecube games on Wii isn't emulation. The Wii's hardware runs them natively without the need for an emulator. What you're looking for is a Gabecube iso launcher, not an emulator. Have you ever tried popping a Gamecube disc into your Wii? It will run it as if it...

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Thanks a lot, I'm gonna try your first suggestion first because the last update (4.0) made me feel a bit paranoid due to the couple of things it broke.

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

OK, this may have been asked before but what's the easiest/safest version to upgrade from 4.0E to 4.1E without compromising the hacks I've installed? I have a custom CIOS or two (to re-enable installing WADs) installed but don't really remember exactly what they're called. :/

    Homebrew DosBOX Wii

M-m-monster bump. One question: how much hope for an increase in emulation speed is there? I see that some people have been getting some games to work OK but even Space Quest 5, which isn't a particularly demanding game, runs for me as if I were playing it on a 286. Is it even possible for a Wii...
