Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

The desktop (64 bit) and the laptop (32 bit) are both connected to the same router via ethernet cable. I installed ModMii on the laptop time ago (maybe 3 months) and it installed/run ok (I also had the NUS downloader running fine on it before). Then I got some trojan warning from Kasperky Pure...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Hi, sorry for the late reply (assuming it was indeed a reply to my post!). I am using 2.6 installer, yes. I gave up installing from my desktop when I noticed that ModMii is working correctly from my laptop, connected to the same router with another cable. They both have Kaspersky Pure...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Just tried installing ModMii on my windows 7 64-bit desktop and it fails with internet/firewall error message. I paused Kasperky Pure but still no go (Windows Firewall off). The shell screen with connection attempt disappears too fast to read any details. Any idea what's wrong?

Hacking How to use IOS58 with HBC?

Well, hackmii worked painlessly, thank you all for your pointers. Edit: As for ModMii being overwhelming I am sure it is really user friendly and all. I just thought it was overshooting my particular problem and I thought - as it turned out - I could do the upgrade needed in a simpler way...

Hacking How to use IOS58 with HBC?

I downloaded ModMii but at the moment is overwhelming me... Do I understand correctly that if I just use hackmii installer it will let me reinstall HBC over the existing install, giving me the option to base it on IOS58? Thanks.

Hacking How to use IOS58 with HBC?

My Wii is still running on 3.4E and working fine with HBC 1.0.8, Cfg USB Loader etc However, now I wanted to try WiiMC and it reccomends running HBC with IOS58, whereas mine is running with IOS37. How can I make HBC run with IOS58? Is there a way to do it painlessly, that is without having to...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Ok, I managed to get it to work 2 ways: 1) loading USB Loader from USB hard disk by copying there the folders /usb-loader/ and /apps/usbloader_cfg from the SD *and* starting the Wii without the SD in; in this case config.txt contains no covers_path definition 2) loading USB Loader from SD and...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I already have the forwarder installed. Now, I copied /usb-loader/ and /apps/usbloader_cfg from SD to USB. However, when running the forwarder (or USB loader from homebrew channel) it still seems to load from SD:/usb-loader/ Should I just remove/rename /usb-loader on SD or how can I force...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Hello, I do not have wifi connection working for my wii, so I downloaded all the covers with Backup Manager to my PC. If I copy them to SD cards, where usb-loader is, they show up nice. However, if I copy all the covers to my NTFS formatted usb hard disk (/usb-loader/ folder) and add the line...

    Misc Connections problems with satellite/connectify

Hello, I am currently living in Africa and stuck with dial-up+satellite for a decent Internet connection. Moreover, I only have an USB satellite modem connected to my laptop and sharing Internet connection through it via Connectify. The sharing does seem to work, albeit very slow, with a 2nd...
