    UPDATE So The 3DS XL Arrived today and FW is 4.4 ! So a very happy man right here. Now still waiting on my Gateway to arrive should get here tomorrow can not wait , WOO!!!

    Yeah I had a few used ones that I was looking at on ebay and at cash converters, folks there were more than happy to check firmware for me, so suggestion to any one looking for used just get them to check it (and explain how to do that if need be). A brand new console appealed to me more though...

    That is an option, however as it is off ebay I'd rather avoid the hassle and time it would take to get it sent to me , get the wrong firmware and send it back. Waiting a day to find out for sure might save me a lot of time.

    well that was my thinking as well , with a 2012 copyright and what seems to be a relatively low serial I am tempted to just buy it, however will wait it out a bit to see if anyone else has some knowledge of aus serials
