    There's an entire in game mod section. You can install mods to change pretty much any part of the game you want. I'm surprised that you played it but aren't aware of that fact. Maybe try it again. It's a great game and worth every penny.

    Try ruling out the hard drive. Make a Linux install USB stick. Unplug the hard drive and boot from the USB stick. In my experience a hard drive can still make noise even when it's not reading and writing to itself. It is still spinning.
