ROM Hack Working banbd brother DX

The team R4 seems be dead, so i post a topic fot all members who don't wants to read 42 pages of the release topic of the game

This is a method to make the game Daigaisso Ban Brother DX work on the R4 and allow you to download songs (don't work before)

first get A patched R4 kernel to allow the R4 load Save With a size exed 512 kb (8 Mb for Daigaisso!)
I'va patched my kernel for you just set it at the root of your card and replace your......
I've patched it with The yasu's kernel customizer!! Thanks yasu's

Then get fresh cyclops (post by YUMMY so thanks yummy) Save that allow you to download song (mutiple save with multiple ID) Take one of these and rename it with the name of your rom

I'd rather wait and buy the real game when I visit Japan this summer.

It sucks how you only can download 100 (and not replace them later) with the real game, though.
Might eventually buy two copies...

Good thing it's only 23€, so buying two copies is almost equal to buying one European game.

Good thing it's only 23€, so buying two copies is almost equal to buying one European game.

I find it hard to believe they wouldn't let you overwrite, but even if you are correct, just use a flash cart and save as many as you want. Buying 2 copies is just rediculous.

One question though: To download songs on Wifi, I need to go to the bottom option on main screen and then click on the big red button to connect to Wifi. After that, nothing happens...is there something else I need to do?

Download the right save for your card, rename it, and then start it up again.

I tried it on M3Ds Real, the game started up then some character started waving a flag and said Error.

Tried downloading each .sav file and renaming them. Using a DSTT and none of them worked. Each one brought forth a weird dog-thing holding two bones with ERROR. It's interesting to note that when I went back and deleted each unworking save that they had been brought down to the normal 512kb whatever size of every other save. When i realized this I tried running it again, but it still went back to that same ERROR screen. For each sav file. Good effort and hopes this works for others- am I doing something wrong?

edit: oh; guess I'd need to wait for the DSTT to allow saves larger than the 512. boo-hoo hoo.

Uh, yes, you're using an R4 fix on a DSTT.

Does any other R4 users have the same problem as I do. Where once I download a song, the game gets stuck at the save screen?

Because the r4 firmware is slightly diff than the simply's.

If you don't want to download the songs, get the save files wthl all the songs already downloaded. Files are uploaded by RanmaFreak in the DBBDX forum.

I, too, would love to hear of someone getting this to work on the Simply.

I've heard you can convert R4 to Simply using a patch .exe file. However, I can't do .exe on the Mac.

Uh, yea, its not the .sav i wanna convert, but the patched firmware. Hey tele-pet, do you have an intel mac? I have a powerpc, so i have no hope

Ok you M3 DS Simply users (like me), I already converted it.

Back up your old file just in case, and overwrite it with the one here. Then just grab one of the many saves on here or on the DBBDX release thread and enjoy!
