Does this one support 6x DVD reading?

No, the option is there but it does nothing.

Am I the only one interested in "Classic IPL"? the fact that it's there on the Wii flash is interesting enough. Try holding "z" on a gamecube controller just before the Spinning gamecube appears!

I guess you mean the special sounds right? That was the same on the original gamecube (you get a different sound when you do it with 4 controllers), so it probably has something to do with the gamecube (maybe it loads a special gamecube firmware from the wiikey or something :S)
edit: or it just plays the classic gamecube intro.

Yes, but that's not what I meant. (I have a UK launch gamecube and know about the sounds) It's just I find it interesting Nintendo left the full gamecube IPL, when it's never used, so they could have easily made a stripped-down version.

Just wondering, how does the Snes 9x work on the disc? Does it allow you to load a separate disc, or do you have to have the roms on the same dvd? Same question for the Mediaplayer! Thanks!

It's probably just to assure 100% gamecube game compatibility. It also really shows that the Wii is a adjusted en tweaked gamecube.
Too bad that Nintendo doesn't show the original gamecube intro, when you play gamecube games tough (IMO)

I've found this disc yesterday and it is the beta one. If they didn't released it officially, there must be a reason, I think they are fixing 6x speed and imho you should wait for the official release
