Hey guys. I have my WiiKey and am waiting for my installer to get back with me so HOPEFULLY I can get the freakin think installed today.

Anyhow, I surveyed my media and below are the results. I will primarily be burning games to the Lightscribe media, but I included the others just incase I end up using them.

I am a little dismayed to see that the lightscribe that I have been using are CMC magnetics. I remember them being the worst back in the day, but at least I only have ten of those.

I've burned 23 backups (GC and Wii) so far and no coasters yet..

Can you burn GameCube backups to regular sized DVDs? I haven't seen anything regarding this question yet.

That's odd. Because the -R are the exact same code as reported as working fine in this thread.

Can you get other media to work? What speed are you burning at?

I am burning everything at 4x.

Hey what about dual layer DVD's, will the modchips be able to play dual layer discs?

I wasted around 20 blank dvd's last night trying different speeds and switching between 3x and 6x mode in wiikey. Maybe I shouldn't have tried copying disc from disc, lol. Anyhow, now everything is smooth sailing.

New results for me(simplified)

How do you burn gamecube isos. Ive made so many coasters. I am using both maxell 16x and verbatim 16x they both work fine for wii games but when i burn a gcn it doesnt. Is there a special method or do i jus burn the gcn on to the disk as data?
