LOL never know about this board game until I watched Hikaru no Go on Toonami Jetstream. Decent Anime but it reminds me too much of Yu-Gi-Oh!

I think its a version of Go for the DS.

and for those wanting to know about Go:
the object of Go is to get 5 of your coloured stones in a row (either horizontally or vertically), while preventing your opponent from doing the same, as you take turns lying stones one at a time.

It's a Go title where you get taught by the top Korean and Japanese players. Most of them are exercises I think.

Wooh, Cho Chikkun. He looks just like some homeless crazy guy that lives in the street near us. Other than that, yup this is basically a Go training thing where Cho Chikkun (and other players? as x_comp says) gives lessons on how to be a better player. Must be life/death exercises and other shit. Haven't touched go since I was grade 5 lol... I'm (or was) 15-kyu lol

Yup, it's a bundle of 'Go' exercises for you, taught by the two top players. It's no an actual Go game where you play against the AI like in the Hikaru no Go GBA games.

if you wanna play go against AI there already is a game:

0334 - Itsu Demo Doko Demo Dekiru Igo - AI Igo DS

I'd estimate it plays at 12-14 kyu, it seems to have a joseki lib but plays weak on the strategic level. Still pretty good for subway rides, may surprise you occasionally.

all I know about this game is that it came out in that one movie "a beautiful mind" and ive been wanting to know what it was called!! now im happy

Never played that but, I liked the Hikaru no Go 2 game on the GBA with those expressive SD characters. Brilliant stuff!
