Hacking ABC Listing and Question About the G6L Case

#1 Well I was wondering is there a way to arrange the ROMS in ABC order? The only way i know how is to write them all at the same time. if i add one later then it just goes to the end of the list

#2 Since i got the G6 lite trial, and i can load english firmware

, when the official one comes out, is it possible to buy an empty case of the final version and just put my trial in there? Is there a difference in hardware between the final and the trial?

Yeah the only way I know is to reload them all again.

I'd also like to know if there are physical differences between trial & final versions and between English & Chinese versions.

You can arrange the roms in ABC order if you go into the /GBA or /NDS directories in Windows Explorer and then select all the files while sorted, cut/paste to the root or any directory, then paste back into the directory. I did this with psp isos to sort also. it has to do when the file was "created" in the directory.

What about programs like FATsort that sort the FAT of a drive? Can those be used with G6?

Try it for yourself and report back, i've never heard of those apps before

Noted. Another downside of G6 Lite: cannot alphabetically sort roms.

download fatsort, pick alphabetical for files, leave for directories, click start and less than a second later your files are sorted and show up in alphabetical order

Any internal memory solution can't sort. Can you please stop trying to add these types of posts? They're quite annoying when all you do is try to nitpick people's posts for tiny flaws in something.

EZ3's internal ezDisk have sort function. I don't see how that's not possible with G6's U-Disk.

because it is nitpicking, plus you can use fatsort when you load roms and get them sorted.

I hope a future version of the loader allows sorting on the DS itself. It's just a programming problem.

which version of FATsort did you guys use?

The version I used (1.0.4) ended up corrupting 1/3rd of the roms in my G6 Lite
