so i got a black wii and i really wanna play backup gamecube games and i dont wanna spend 80 bucks on a wode. so im gunna buy one on ebay. so which can play burned copies of games?

The cost of a wode is well worth it. If you figure the cost of a vulnerable drive, plus all the DVD-R discs that you will you use, plus the convenience of the wode, it pays off in the end.

why don't you buy a modchip then instead of a whole new drive?
