I have yet to play the first one. How is the first one? The battle system seems very different than your usual rpg - choose attack > select enemy > animation > repeat.

I found the game really fun. The battle system is very unique compared to other RPGs which is one of the things I like about it....especially the animation.

Any details as how it goes in terms of button pressing?

I have too many games on my list that I have to play over the winter break.. I won't even have much time for games over the break. Too many goals to accomplish.

you time for your button press

so there's waiting until the animation of the attack finish, then you press a again to attack some more until you ran out of your TP
each attack had a different ammount of TP consumed
so you cannot just mash the button
in some attack you can "cancel" them to boost your super gauge, so you can use your finisher faster
 
Awsome, really liked the first one but never really got into it (played alot of the japanese one in japanese and didnt know what i was doing then got us version and never played it as much.

still looks fun though, so this is the 2nd in the series or what? first time i've seen it.. and If there's a #1 is it available in english?
 
The first one's in English, and it's title is this game's title without the "Exceed"... Original title naming huh...
