Hi,

I, as well as some others, have broken the 3d slider (my 3ds fell from 2m high) and would like to know if there´s any app that allows software control of the 3d slider.

Is there any?

I don't think so, but if the problem is just that you can't disable the 3D, you can use parental controls in the system settings to restrict usage of it.

Thanks but the file is not there anymore

That's really weird, because I did check the original link and it was expired, so I uploaded a new one, but it seems like it has been deleted after I reuploaded it :/

I checked that thread, Sono posted a different link to the 3d slider file that works, and guess what, here it is https://puu.sh/Gm2cS/faddde655d.cia

"As for the software 3D slider, I don't know which file to reupload, and can't test if it's the right file, but here is the most appropriate file which could be it: https://puu.sh/Gm2cS/faddde655d.cia"

I didn't find a working link in the thread, so thanks for finding a working one!

Thanks guys, it worked like a charm, I broke it before my smallest kid was 7 and now she is 8 and wanted to play in 3d, you made a very happy little girl.

I have never tested it, but does readjusting work after closing and reopening the program? I might have forgot to code that in.

Once you open, it zeroes it.

Works for me too because i am stuck with some 5 percent 3d and just by opening and closing it I can get 2d and no pesky parental controls

If the 3D slider works, but the bottom is not 0% then there is a way to recallibrate it somewhat permanently (until you factory reset the 3DS).

To be honest, I just realized that I'm quite stupid for always using puush links.

I've uploaded it to the download center, so it has some permanence to it.

Please read the description of the file before downloading!

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
