I assume you have CFW installed.. was the save backed up from Checkpoint/JKSM, or is it an encrypted save file?

You could grab an unused SD card, create an emuNAND on it, do a CTRTransfer on it to 9.2.0 or something (those CTRTransfer image files are common on the internet), and then use the Gateway with that emuNAND to decrypt the save file.

1. Grab an unused SD card (it will be formatted, so make sure you backup anything important)
2. Use GodMode9 to setup an emuNAND on the SD card that can be used with Gateway
3. Follow this guide to perform a 9.2.0 CTRTransfer on the EMUNAND (not the sysNAND): https://quantumcat1.github.io/9.2.0-ctrtransfer.html (the guide assumes you are doing it to your sysNAND, don't)
4. Load Gateway on the emuNAND using your favorite method (probably B9S)

I still own my gateway, what is the cut off? 11.3? my system is on 11.4, my o3ds that is. I don't really remember how to use it in conjunction with a9lh though.

I've got an SD card somewhere that has an 11.2 emuNAND for just this reason. If I find it, I'll give your save file a whirl.

No kidding? Its the app that decrypts the savefile for whatever use you want of the save.

you might want to stick with wii homebrew kid let people who know 3ds flashcards do this and 3ds homebrew like me
