Hello community, I have been learning a lot about the problems of the switch oled, what I was most afraid of was the green tint, some said that it was something that all the Switch OLED's had to a greater or lesser extent, others claimed not to have it (although they did not upload photos or videos proving it) and a small part said that you should not buy the first batches of switch oled since they came defective, so I decided to wait, I waited all this time to acquire an switch oled.... and a couple of days ago I bought it and unfortunately it has a green tint, but knowing cases that are very serious, mine is not so serious, although it is there.... it does not bother me much, I am somewhat sad because I had the illusion that the green tint was something of the first batches..

is it true that it can be fixed with an update?

Can it be repaired?

Pd: sorry for my bad english

I would get it repaired/replaced. That looks very noticeable, and shouldn't be happening with a brand new device, it should be in perfect condition out of the box.

Green tints are a problem with cheap OLED screens such as the ones Nintendo used. The only thing you can do is adjust your brightness settings to reduce the chances of it happening, but no you can not fix it with an update or repair it. Exchange it and leave auto-brightness turned on/do not go below 30% brightness.

I went to warranty but they told me that this is normal in oled screens :(, with the lighting over 50% this disappears, but it is annoying to know that it is there lurking in the dark

I have the same issue : some games are better and I don’t play in dark rooms to avoid it 😅

Nintendo RMA send me back my switch and said it’s normal for oled screens : I have an iPhone and oled TV, they don’t have this issue.

Nintendo just don’t want to recall all switchs for this known issue…

I have modded more than 100+ OLED. One customer specifically asked me for a no-green tint one, I had to search 10 or so OLED for one without a green tint. So I assume only 10% OLED do not have a green tint which is quite disturbing. Only noticeable on a dark screen

I use this on the switch oled and on 15-15-15 and above, you will see the green tint

I bought a new OLED Switch recently and it also has the green tint. Also noticable on brighter settings on the dark theme.
