Hi guys, Im new to this, but I have just bought a wii for me and my girlfriend to play on and I want to homebrew it so that we can download games and play of my HDD.

Every website and video I see says it needs to be on version 4.3E and the wii is on 3.4E so I need to update.

I have the wii connected to Ethernet and passes the connection test, then when updating it gives me the Error Code 32007, how can I update the wii or even soft mod it on 3.4E

Thanks

EDIT: Seeing your replies seems like it’s no longer possible to update officially, so can anyone help me with modding it another way?

Good Morning.:)

Your obviously modded Wii has some Problem due something is blocking your Attempt to Update.
- Please check you have Priiloader installed by pressing and holding the RESET Button on your Wii whilst powering on.
- Please check under "System Menu Hacks" the Option "Block Online updates" is set to "Disabled".

couldn't official updates be impacted by the whole NUS endpoint thing?

Well,yes it seems the official Update is no longer working on the Wii.....

I think we have an new "Anti Piracy Thing" here....
But I get an "new" Infomation Screen before the Update starts (never seen this !):

It says:

Important ! If your Wii console has unauthorized modifications, it is possible that this update will detect and remove unauthorized content. This may result in an immediate console failure...

???

@KleinesSinchen

Maybe I am getting old...did you ever have noticed that Screen ?

I don't recall ever seeing something like that, do u see that after saying yes to an update? Cuz I haven't said yes to an official update in a decade... Or maybe ever, lol

It's actually a good warning since official updates can lead to 003 bricks

Yeah,the Message appears after you confirm "YES" to make the Update.

Tried it on 4 Wii Consoles (all PAL / 4.3E) - The official Update is no longer working...:sad:

Do you mean version 4.4? That's a joke. There is no update for the wii ;)
No, Alex is saying that u can no longer do an online official update to 4.3 on a stock Wii

Edit: I think with RC24's DNS u can maybe still do it, but I'm not sure if it will if u don't fully install rc24

This is not new, it always said that (only when you are already on 4.x I think). Updating is currently not possible while the NUS is not working because the SOAP endpoint throws 503 and isn't available on the Wii U CDN. That means it also WON'T work with RC24 DNS.

The only solution is to download all newest IOS manually from the NUS and install them to update to 4.3 (minus the IOS above 200 obviously).
EDIT: Or update via disc

I officially updated the last Wii from 4.1 to 4.3 back in 2020...
All other System Changes/Updates were made with ModMii.

I think it should be possible to code a server that sends the correct SOAP response (URL is http://nus.shop.wii.com/nus/services/NetUpdateSOAP and I copied the response to here: https://paste.wiidatabase.de/?f892918a7e9b7f6f#WMPBEVQwbpK9W1pA2fyhu7BdC9QjApCNSSC8Mk2rmuq ). Maybe something for RC24? :P
@Brawl345

Nice findings, but what we just need to do is replace the old response URL with the new one from WiiDatabase and then patch this in the Wii System Menu WAD, config settings, or anything else.
But since i'm no a specialized programmer/hacker i can't help with that :P
