Hello,

I was wondering if I am able to do either of these options to play my legit game cartridges on my hacked switch.

#1. play my legit cartridges on my EMUnand, offline of course.

#2. Buy an SD card to play on Stock FW and download updates from eShop (I'm sure this one is safer)

I think #1 is more convenient and I can download updates online.

Which should you guys recommend?

You don't even need to do anything to play your legit game cartridges on your hacked Switch. Switch carts are read-only so its impossible for anything to be saved to them. The only risk you take is if you go online with the cartridges but since your console is hacked, you shouldn't be doing that in the first place. But out of the 2 options, the first one is much easier to accommodate.

Place your SD card back into your switch, insert your RCM jig in the right side of your rail, hold the VOL + button and turn it on.
I did everything except this because if I get it right, I only need this if my Switch completely runs out of power in the battery so I skipped this step and went to the next step:

Connect your Switch to your PC, press Inject payload, and you'll launch into Hekate.

I'll try to do it all again so I don't bother you too much.

You need to launch Hekate. Once in Hekate you just follow the steps to create an emunand. Then configure helate_ipl.ini to boot to that Emunand and we should be good. Should…

In step 3 I already configured that hekate_ipl file so I think that should be fine or I should change something?

Edit: Okay, I did it! It says 11.0.1|AMS 1.3.0|E

Now, I would like to update the FW. I found that FWs can be downloaded on darthsternie site so I thought about downloading 14.0.0 because I think I saw somewhere that 14.1.0 is not safe.

So, I should download the FW and then follow the steps from "How to upgrade/downgrade your Switch" from rentry page?

Should I do this: "If you want to dump your own firmware files in order to update your emuNAND, you may read this guide."?

(Sorry I can't put links because I'm level 1)

Also, before all this, I always woke up my Switch (when I was transferring games on it) with TegraRCM and fusee.bin file but now I woke it up through Hekate. What is the difference, is it the same or?

Hi Can someone help me. For some reason about 3 months now I no longer have any cheats that work on new games on tinfoil?
It used to upload them automatically but even when I put them manually in contents folder , they don't show up when I press Y twice. Any thoughts? the older games work fine

NICE!

I think I said that. It’s alway good to wait a bit for others to test a new release. If you did Atmosphere 1.3.0 then stick with 14.0.0. The update has very little to offer so you are safe to wait for the next meaningful change.

Yes. Whatever is there will have been tested and complete.

No need. That’s some more advanced techniques in case you can’t just wait. We’re noobs. We wait and are happy for those who go before us.

Hekate is a bootloader that will in turn boot fusee.bin stored on yiur SD Card. The end result is exactly the same. You boot CFW. In addition to booting CFW, Hekate has a great tool set and fuse protection and it is the generally accepted way most folks here boot up. Fusee is just the CFW and launches straight into it. It’s not bad to boot direct with fusee but if you run into trouble or need to do some maintenance you will have to go find Hekate Plus you don’t have the fuse protection that comes with Hekate.

I did it! I also already installed Tinfoil and everything is ready for games. Thank you very much for your patience!

What setup are you running?

Have you recently changed or upgraded anything?

Need some help, tried updating atmosphere to the latest to update to 14.1.0. turned my switch off, put new hekate and atmosphere files onto my sd, and updated while in syscfw. Loading syscfw gives me a std::abort(0xFFE)
edit: I've done this before in basically the same way, i dont know why it does this now

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but here it goes.
I just got my HWFLY chip (ribbon v3) for my OLED and I soldered the wires to flash the bootloader.bin and firmware.bin files onto it and I observe 2 things I wanted to know if they are normal.

First things first.
I'm using a J-Link clone (no ST-Link at home) and I'm using Linux.

1 - When I plug the USB cable (after have connected the 4 wires, 3.3V, GND, TCK and SDO), I see a very short blue led that immediately turns red (red is good). Is this normal, to see a very short blue led and only then, the red led?

2 - After a few seconds of red led turns on, the led turns off. Is this normal? Like 10 or 15 seconds later??

I'm following Sthetix tutorial here: https://www.sthetix.info/flashing-updating-unbricking-the-chip/

Please share a screenshot of the entire error and which part of the boot process spits it out.

Hello. Can anyone help me? I have no idea how to boot atmosphere. I followed the switchhomebrewguide and it won't boot. Do I need to have my Switch firmware on 14.0.0 for it to start? My current switch firmware is 13.2.1

Is there a way to arrange the order of plugins on the overlay?
I use the TomVita Breeze/Zing on Top mod. It reorders the Tesla Menu but to do so he had to hack the code directly to catch it by name and reorder it like so:

https://github.com/tomvita/Tesla-Menu/commit/e2315c92241e2abb93659edc2a8b7be85499a0a5

You could do the same and “pin” certain plugins higher in the menu and then recompile.

edit: TomVita knows what he’s doing and if there was an easy way to do it, he would have done it. Saying all that to say this, I don’t think you’re going to find an easier way, short of recompiling, to do this.

Be a bit more specific. What do you mean by it won't boot?
