My mom always used to grab manga that was on sale that she thought me and my siblings would like, and my brother didn't want his collection anymore so some have doubles.

Apologies for the "late" reply, but Half-Price books and other stores that have a general inventory of many genres will usually have a section for manga from what I've seen over the years. Amazon and eBay have always been hit or miss, and then ultimately becoming quite expensive as a series gets older.
