yeah, no idea how to get into the homebrew launcher now. the hb menu launcher that I installed goes to a black screen, and running indexiine causes the system to return to the home menu.
For the past 6 years opening the homebrew launcher worked by launching the Mii Maker, nothing has change :)

Will a separate Homebrew Loader Channel still function as intended though? Also, I'm on CBHC and just double checked, loading Mii Maker only booted me into Mii Maker, while HBL loaded only HBL. Now some homebrew when I exit installed as a channel like Loadiine will say I'm exiting from Mii Maker, but that's the extent of any connection I see on my system between the 2. But I can't say I really understand what all my Wii U is doing at this point lol.

I'm trying to install Tiramisu, but loading the exploit and selecting Tiramisu gives the error "padscore load timed out". Anyone know why this happens?

Now, I'm using a version of CBHC that allows for the quickstart of all sorts of different homebrew when you launch your Wii U. I know the intention of Aroma is allow for plugins and all of that from boot, but as things stand now with Tiramisu, is there any way to have the same kind of setup to hold buttons and have specific homebrew autoboot with the Wii U? I'm guessing not, but I just wanna double check on all this stuff before I make the change as it seems there are things I have to consider and weigh here.

Hold + on the gamepad while booting the console.
**This is not a brick protection though**

afaik, could be wrong, but I think this allows for quick and easy updating, so it may be limited at first, but there's probably more to come.

That's kinda what it sounds like. I think I'm just gonna hold off for now. CBHC has served me well for years and I have it working in a way I love. I want that quickboot option back again, but not at the expense of what it would currently mean to my current setup. I imagine that as this evolves in time, something will happen to make me go, OK, I gotta do this now. But not yet.

so how would one go about loading a .rpx homebrew using this environment? or payloadloader?
i'm not sure i fully understand how any of this works.

it doesn't for me. the hb menu I installed goes to a black screen, then the tv turns off from no signal. it's like it gets frozen.
If you want to use the channel you need to remove: "sd:\wiiu\environments\tiramisu\modules\setup\50_hbl_installer.rpx".
That will also remove the Homebrew Launcher from the Mii Maker though.

This is currently an issue when running Bloopair from the browser.
Temporarily remove "sd:\wiiu\environments\tiramisu\modules\setup\30_bloopair.rpx" from your SD card and put it back after the PayloadLoader is installed.

so how would one go about loading a .rpx homebrew using this environment? or payloadloader?

Open the HBL by opening the Mii Maker.

Tiramisu is a environment to be loaded with the EnvironmentLoader.

It's recommended to coldboot into EnvironmentLoader (and Tiramisu) via the PayloadLoader. Check it our for more information.

What is Tiramisu?

Tiramisu is modular legacy environment for the Wii U. The automatically runs a CFW (modified version of Mocha), allows you to boot the homebrew channel and provides a autoboot menu.
Paired with the PayloadLoader it's a free and modular CBHC alternative, with some extra features like full support for the quickstart menu of the Gamepad and blocking updates.

Content

- Mocha
- Homebrew Launcher
- Autoboot Menu

Guide

For a full installation guide visit https://wiiu.hacks.guide/#/

Usage

- Place the `00_mocha.rpx` from Mocha in the `sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup` folder.
- Place the `50_hbl_installer.rpx` from the Homebrew Launcher installer in the `sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup` folder.
- Place the `homebrew_launcher.elf` from Homebrew Launcher in the `sd:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher` folder.
- Place the `99_autoboot.rpx` from the AutobootModule in the `sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup` folder.
- (optional) Place any additional setup modules into `sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup` like Bloopair or USBSerialLogger.

On the first boot the autboot menu will open, navigate with the gamepad to the title you want to launch.
- Press Y to select autoboot title.
- Hold START (+) on the Gamepad while launching the environment to force open the autoboot menu.

To open the Homebrew Launcher, start the Mii Maker. DO NOT RUN EXPLOIT TWICE.
