Reccently i see a video in youtube, in the video explains how you can put the DLC´s of Rock Band 2 and 3 in a SD card with Wad2Bin and run it in the Rock Band 3... Now, the interesting part of all this, i have 2 Wii´s, a white and a black one, my surprise is that the black one run it ALL the DLC´s and the white one doesn´t, i run the game with the same CIOs (249) but the white one says something like ''Unknown error of SD''... Then i search the difference in them and i found this...
THE HOLLYWOOD CHIP ISN´T THE SAME...
and then i found this: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Hollywood
In that page, says the pin diagram of the 2 versions of the chip isn´t the same... so...
Somebody can run the DLC with a Hollywood Chip Version 1 ???
my Syscheck of the white Wii... the 2 Wiis have all the same Cios, is like a copy paste...

Sorry for my english, greetings from Venezuela :3

@TakeSora25

Try following this tutorial instead for Rock Band / Just Dance / Guitar Hero DLCs on Wii: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1A9ycUtEHjfriP8XL2wEV4amATpRjFccdiDeZK3tZiaw/view

@jeannotte also recommends trying to do these things:

for cIOS you can use this guide ==> cIOS guide
Strongly recommend ==> use a real FAT32 external hard drive (often USB keys give screens or never start.
you can try the WBFS format with your usb key(s), but that may not necessarily work.
use several loaders to launch your games (WiiFlow, USB Loader GX, or Configurable Loader v78.11), you will decide what loader you want.

But maybe you need more help about that. Maybe @XFlak can help you? Sorry since I don't own a real Wii console and i didn't try to mod a Wii for load Wii game backups i can't help further.

Thanks for the answers :3 @SaulFabre @jeannotte
I try already everything you say... Thanks Mariocube /o/
But my sd is a class 4 32 Gb and another is class 1 of 1 gb... Both of them works in the black wii, but in the white one doesn´t...
So, i think it could be the version of the hollywood Chip... the version 2 (Of the black one) have 2 conectors more than the version 1...

I remember that I had problems with a specific cios, I don't have my wii here, but I remember that with one cios only the microphone worked and with the other the sd.

I am also having the same problem with using DLC from an SD on a CIOS based rock band 3. I have a black wii with serial number: LU81807501 and model RVL-001 (USA). From my digging around it seems to be a version 1 wii? I'm running wii menu version 4.3U and using a 4 gb SDHC. Everything runs and works perfectly except for DLC on guitar hero and rock band. I've tried multiple ways to get it to read (including trying other SD cards) and nothing works. I am currently trying to see about injecting the DLC into the system NAND itself to see if that fixes the problem. Any pointers?

Ive spent 5 days trying to get rock band 3 dlc working and ive finally fixed it. All i had to do was boot the real wii shop once, then went to rock band 3 and all was working. It must create a ticket or file some where.

Well, i´m happy to say: This is true...
I boot the Wii shop, and accept the terms and conditions... Open the wii shop ONCE... see whats there... (The Wii u Transfer software and the Skyward Sword save data fixer)... Open my Rock Band 3 and... YEAH!!! I CAN PLAY ALWAYS FROM BLINK-182!!!
So, maybe the game have a flag with the terms and conditions of the wii shop...
If you have a white or black wii... First or second version of the chip... You can play the DLC from rock band 2 and 3 (For the RB2 i try All Star - Smash Mouth)...
So... my fault e.e

How? WHY!! I thought there's no way something so simple yet so crucial is all it takes. Yet, ITS THAT DAMN SIMPLE!! Nowhere, and I mean nowhere in a single guide is it noted to do this.

2 weeks of headaches trying to get this to work...open the shop he says. Your a blessing 🙌
