I plan to install an HWFLY Lite chip into my OLED. What should be the most prefered next steps from your expert point after that? Focus should be on keep it working (banned, fuse etc). Any help aprechiatet.

One more. Should I register first the Switch before I install HWFly Lite?

Hey guys, I finally managed to learn how to install games over USB using Tinwooband ns-usbloader, and the first two games I installed were DMC and Xenoblade Chronicles 1... but I cannot get the first Devil May Cry game to run, and I think it might need an update patch, or my switch firmware might need to be updated, or something like that.

So I went to the system Information to look at what version if firmware the switch was at, and I think that I am in big trouble... I forgot to block the switch from connecting to the internet, and instead of telling me what version if firmware that I've got, it just says "system update is ready".

How do I get rid of this message? I mean, I would like to manually update the firmware to whatever DMC and Xenoblade Chronicles need, but I can't see the firmware version in order to see if I need to update. Also, I think this is the latest version the Nintendo server sent to me and that if I install it, my switch won't be hacked anymore. I hope that um not screwed here....

You can use Goldleaf to disable and ignore the firmware update reminder.....
First turn off your internet/airplane mode. Start Goldleaf and goto "Console and Goldleaf Settings". Select "Firmware and Updates", then delete the new update reminder..
I'll warn you though it will reappear if you reconnect to internet again.

Is the OLED hackable?
With the SX Core modchip only which requires soldering.

Make a backup of the eMMC with Hekate is a good first step. I also don't understand what you mean by register.

How do you get your switch banned?
By going online after hacking it.

So I deleted this update, and I see that I have 12.1.0 of the firmware. I just checked the requirements for Devil May Cry 1 and it says 8.0.1. I tried to launch the game and hot this message. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Everytime when I'm trying to install something over HB menu, I'm getting blue screen error saying an error has occurred, please press the power button... Any help? I'm about to install tinfoil.

Not go online on your emunand unless you want to get banned

Hello Everyone. I've been out of the Scene for awhile again. Re-doing my switch, Mod. I have a couple of questions about emuMMC:

  • Does emuMMC only provide extra protection if you want to still do online gaming? (I don't care about online gaming really, I'm a single player experience guy)

  • Are there any other benefits to emuMMC? (I am already setup on 90DNS)

  • If I do partition my card for emuMMC from Hekate, should I make the partition as big as I can (I imagine I can store games here)?

  • If I am pretty much going to have my switch offline all the time, is there any point to emuMMC? Should I just do it anyways for, extra protection from bans?

  • One last question, my current firmware is 8.1.0. If I want to play new games, is it best to just use a tool like NSC builder, and choose the option to modify the XCI for my current firmware? How much luck have people had doing this? Should I update my firmware?

Thanks in advance. I'm just bringing myself up to speed. I've watched many videos and went over forum posts, but the main reason I've seen for emuMMC is using one's switch online still. Hopefully I have not misinterpreted that. I know there is still a chance of a ban with any online activity. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I am following the rentry guide step for step and I injected the Fusee Atmosphere bin payload. Now I get a black screen with
Fatal error: Failed to stat stage2 (atmosphere/fusee-secondary/bin).I am really afraid I did something wrong but I don't understand what. Does anyone know what to do?

Sorry if it's a noob question.

When i try to backup my emumcc boot0/boot1 etc i get the following error:

00: boot0..
Failed to find a partition...
Failed!
01: Boot1...
Failed to find a partition...
Failed!

I can however boot into emumcc without problems, how can i fix this?

Edit:

I fixed the above by going to emumcc > check migrate status and click on fix raw.
