Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone - Neppu/Raimei Undub v2.1 by plasma

(v2.1 has been taken down. v3 will release..... __/0_/24)

CSNRLogo.png

Several delays later, it's finally time to release the project I have worked a good while on. I hate the Inazuma Eleven dub, especially the GO Series, which was the main drive behind this project (plus the fact Chrono Stone is my favourite lmao). This is a full undub. Players, hissatsus, keshins, tactics, you name it, it's been undubbed.

YOU WILL NEED AN ENCRYPTED .3DS OF WILDFIRE/THUNDERFLASH TO CREATE A .CIA TO PATCH. I WILL NOT SUPPLY THIS. PLEASE DO NOT ASK.
Working ROM MD5 hashes (others may work, this is just from the ones I have tested):
- 1b5399b4f2cd30b51d4234dff0c4bbec - Wildfire
- 4b605b2f6291b0c5b95de9c18ee9a8b6 - Thunderflash
Non-working MD5 hashes:
- b8e239d05f93a210a7f76eefd376fa6d - Wildfire
(check md5 hashes by using md5sum, drag your ROM onto md5sum.exe and it'll display it for you)

- Player names are now their original Japanese names, romanized. (Tsurugi instead of Victor etc.)
- Hissatsu names are now their original Japanese names (Death Drop instead of Doom Dive Drive etc.)
This means everywhere, such as Move Manuals, in matches, top menu summary (a first for a Chrono Stone undub!), etc.
- Keshin names are now their original Japanese names (Eichi no Ou Bunguou instead of The Stationer etc.)
- Tactics now have their original Japanese names (Grand Luster instead of Grand Plan etc.)
- Fully edited menus and graphics to revert dub changes (such as returning 'fighting spirit' back to 'keshin')
- Undubbed stadium names, item names, PalPack Communities, cutscenes
- Mix 'n' Match renamed to MixiMax as per Japanese anime/game
- L2/3/4/5 etc. reverted to their Japanese counterparts
- Japanese OP with lyrics displayed and correctly timed
- Fully undubbed story along with NPC's
- Team names now their original names (e.g Shiroshika instead of White Deer, The Lagoon instead of Ragnah etc.
This includes all 5-a-side mini battles, aswell as taisen route teams and story teams.
- Using a hissatsu move/tactic/keshin will show the name in Japanese, this is purely due to the fact I preferred it, not gonna lie.
- Voiced hissatsus - using audio from Strikers and the anime, I was able to add voices to as many moves as possible.
- Voiced Keshins - upon summoning a keshin, audio of that keshin's name will play. This does not apply to game exclusive keshins, no form of VA exist for those.
- Full Japanese audio! No longer will you have to suffer through the cringeworthy dubbed voice acting. Bask in the glory of the original voices like the weeb you are!
- Can link to the original ROM, you can still play your friend(s) who may not use this patch
- A seperate patch for those who do not want to hear the move/keshin VA's

- Download GabrieloRomToolsGUI - https://mega.nz/folder/89tX0KqZ#KGhfiwKt0Q6z6deqHeaTwA
- Extract it to a safe place
- Put your .3DS ROM in an accessible folder
- Open GabrieloRomToolsGUI

Extract 3DS tab:
- Set the 3DS File location to where your .3DS ROM is
- Set 'path to extract' to a folder
- Click Extract

Extract NCCH tab:
- NCCH File location will be the folder you extracted your .3DS ROM, set it as game.cxi
- Path to extract can be in the same folder or in a new one
- Click Extract

Rebuild NCCH tab:
- Set romfs folder to the folder you extracted the NCCH partition/.CXI
- Set exefs folder to the same location as the romfs
- 'Folder containing ncchheader.bin...etc' will be the root folder where romfs and exefs are
- output name set to 'game.cxi'
- Click Rebuild and wait
- Test the .cxi on Citra to make sure it boots

.CIA Tools tab:
- Select 'Rebuild .CIA' and set the folder that contains the .cxi from the previous step
- Output name can be whatever you want, as long as it ends in .CIA
- In the content box, click 'Add' and type in 'game.cxi'
- Click Rebuild
Test on Citra via installing it, if it shows and boots, you can patch that file

The reason this is so convoluted is due to how the patching process works. A small difference in the ROM you use to patch could be why it wont work. Until there is a more efficient patching method, this will unfortunately have to do. I tried many different copies and this was the only way I could get it to patch.

This will not work if your .3DS ROM is already decrypted. It fails to extract. You can compare the md5hash with other hashes I have confirmed to work.

- Download DeltaPatcherLite.exe from the same link as the patch
- Extract the .xdelta patch from the version you chose to download
- Place it in the same folder as your decrypted .cia
- Run DeltaPatcherLite.exe, in 'Original File', target your decrypted .CIA, then in 'xDelta Patch', select the patch you extracted
- Click 'Apply Patch' and wait. It may take anywhere between 2-10mins depending on your system
- Install via Citra or your favourite 3DS .CIA installer.

This was primarily a solo project, but I do have some people I want to credit:

Special thanks to:
Sejo for the extensive bug testing, graphics (such as Armed, Keshin Summon etc.), tips and ideas and for the motivation for me to carry this project on.
Ryuuto for help and ideas with the project, as well as being a positive person to talk to
Manjoume for showing me voiced moves was possible and allowing me to use a number of his pre-made va's.
Nepsolit for extensive bug testing, found bugs I would have missed.

Other credits:
FanTranslationInt. for Kuriimu 1 and 2
GabrieloRomToolsGUI
Phoenix for DeltaPatcher
COVID - lockdown gave me the time to complete this.

(I wish there was a better patcher, but this is the best I could do. I don't plan to be sued to oblivion for releasing a pre-patched ROM)

There should be very little bugs left, known bugs are in the README. If you find one, PM me. If there is enough bugs, i'll release an update, but I have tried to get this as perfect as I could.

Future plans? Will I do any other of the GO series?
I am currently working with some others on another project, details will be revealed in time.
Maybe a properly translated (from scratch) undub for Galaxy? Or a GO Shine/Dark Undub? Who knows;)

Hi hello yes just need you to know that this is the best IE related thing I've seen in years. I looooved TyrantM's undubs of 1 and 2 and generally just refuse to play the goofy and honestly just...not Inazuma Eleven flavored dub most of the time, but I also never thought anyone would give these the Tyrant treatment...

I'm playing these games again, this SUPER made my day to the point that I can't really express it.

Their undubs set the bar for me regarding Inazuma Eleven, undubbed was the only way I could enjoy it. Thank you so much for the kinds words, its heartwarming to know other people love this project just as much as I do, and to be compared to TyrantM is a huge honour!

(p.s. this comment made me extremely happy, so thank you for that!)

It gives me mismatch error no matter if EU/JP version or 3DS/CIA decrypted format. Readme is a bit confusing, I think, since it talks about .3ds in first place and then .cia.

Can you post the hash for the unpatched files?

Thanks for your work. It definitely comes handy, considering the poor quality of the voice localization.

I found an issue with the patch due to xdelta just being terrible. I am about to update the OP with new instructions that will just require a regular .3DS file which you will convert to .CIA.

@stranno, I have updated the instructions, can you try this and let me know how it goes? The process is basically stripping down a .3DS rom using the tool above, rebuilding it and converting it to .cia through the tool itself. I only used that specific tool to build the ROM when testing changes.

I have had confirmation that the new method does work.

If you get the mismatch error, disable Checksum Validation and patch again. If that doesnt work and you've done everything in the updated instructions using GabrieloRomToolsGUI, then I need to re-create the patches.

Been a lurker since forever, but this time I just had to post. The thing is, this whole thing is nigh-undoable as it is now for lots of people. The main idea is awesome, Chrono Stone undub yes! But the reality kicks in: that encrypted file (.3ds) is very difficult to find, in fact I couldn't find the correct .3ds with that working MD5 hash anywhere... then I found some other encrypted .3ds, but then the difficulties just piled: my antivirus software began treating GabrieloRomToolsGUI as malware making the rest of the process impossible... so I never even got to the point I could test this. Not good. Why you just couldn't take the common DEcrypted .3ds/.cia file available for this game in many places and then just make xdelta patch for it? I mean, it must be decrypted at the end before patching, so why are using encrypted .3ds as a base in the first place... it just makes this more difficult and in fact you are making people to rely on some ROM with that certain MD5 hash so technically it's not even possible to use a bought cartridge (?) which kills the whole point of making a LEGAL .3ds for one's own game... So technically, again, it is all the same are you using that common decrypted .3ds/.cia or not.

This has been built from my own personal dump of the game, and I'm sorry but it's really not hard to find the right ROM. Took me 5 minutes to find another that worked.

Until there is a better patcher for it then there isn't much else that can be done without me releasing a pre-patched ROM, which could incur copyright and I don't want that. I'm a modder, not a thief. As for GabrieloRomTools, it's literally on this site, the admins here do not let viruses stay on the site. I chose that program as it was the easiest way to do everything I wanted, instead of using several different batch scripts that don't work. I used that program all the way through development.

You have to used an encrypted version because the patch does not work on a decrypted ROM, and you can't extract the decrypted ROM that is out there. Believe me, I have tried.

Using specific ROMs for mods is very common, see Pokémon Platinum hacks that require a specific build, or Fire Red hacks that require the Squirrels ROM.

Most of your 'issues' sound like your own problem, so I can't help there.

Alright, think I understand the situation. I don't want to be or be thought as a jerk and I really appreciate the work you have done, because InaGO dub is... let's just say 'not good'. :) Anyways, I don't know what I did wrong, but on Saturday I decided to give this another try, I disabled my AV (I know Gabrielo.. is not malware, it's a false positive) and followed your instructions but alas, for some weird reason Gabrielo.. wasn't able to make a .cia out of game.cxi... I tried it two times but both times it just gave an error. Second time it also gave an error about missing LOGO files, go figure, I checked all the file types before extracting. So yea, I still haven't been able to test this sadly, because it seems like a very well done undub & de-localization. I will put this on "hold" for now, but I don't forget this.

Sorry for the dumb question (it's been years since I've stopped reading about 3DS stuff so I'm not -familiar anymore) but would there be a way to make this into a luma package patch? For example: downloading your patch, applying it on the right copy and then getting the data / video / sound packs out of the resulting file as a luma patch to apply "on the fly" on my cartridge?

PS: obviously a big thanks to you (I've always been interested in playing with the right names along the right voices and allà for those who will be able to (re)play their game that way.

Thank you! You can do that, by doing only a portion of the instructions. This will give you the romfs/exefs that you can use via LayeredFS either on a 3DS or Citra. Do this after patching the rom.

- Download GabrieloRomToolsGUI - https://mega.nz/folder/89tX0KqZ#KGhfiwKt0Q6z6deqHeaTwA
- Extract it to a safe place
- Put your patched .3DS ROM in an accessible folder
- Open GabrieloRomToolsGUI

Extract 3DS tab:
- Set the 3DS File location to where your patched .3DS ROM is
- Set 'path to extract' to a folder
- Click Extract

Extract NCCH tab:
- NCCH File location will be the folder you extracted your patched .3DS ROM, set it as game.cxi
- Path to extract can be in the same folder or in a new one
- Click Extract

- Go to the folder where you set the NCCH extraction to.
- Move those files over to youir 3DS/Citra to use via LayeredFS.

Just did the first process (pre patch application) with the hash 8750251df258be8e890dcf5acd1cc1f8 of my own personal cartridge dump. This worked absolutely flawlessly and it boots in citra as well. A problem occurs when I rebuild the CIA and try to apply the patch. Apparently, it's a checksum mismatch [An error has occurred: xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT]. I didn't have an antivirus issue like the other guy, only at the very end when I wanted to patch my cia.

Do you know what I may have done wrong?

Hi there, this may be a dumb question from a noob but if I were to dump my legally bought/owned cartridge using godmode9 as a .3ds file, is that file considered as an encrypted rom? Or do I need to encrypt it myself after dumping it using external means/programs or the like? Thanks in advance!

this might be a dumb question but if the checksum mismatch happens, does it mean the rom you started with wasn't encrypted? or did I do something wrong?
