Card looks fine, looks like you issue is something else. Perhaps reformat card and try new cfw files.

Ummm well, that was rather underwhelming. All that talk about "check your card or we can't move forward" while I've been saying all along that card is not fake and now the whole solution is "reformat card"????
Try what new cfw?? I've been using https://switch.homebrew.guide/index and whatever files they provide in the package and it seems all newest versions. So I'm not sure what "new cfw" would mean in this case?

You have two options though you can either use a hekate/fss0 build SD Setup/Deepsea etc, if you want something much cleaner you can use Vanilla Atmosphere, what firmware and what you got unpatched/patched unit?

NSP is smaller out of the two, I would use NSP if you can, Tinfoil is commonly used as installer for shops like HBG, Jits, Pengu etc

You need to understand what bootloader and what patches to use, where to put them, without understand that you would never get the games up and running,

Probably not, your issue is probably that you don't understand how the bootloader, patches work, it need to be right bootloader with right patches at right location, do me a favor read that guide first, get a good understand of Fusee Primary, Hekate/Fss0 build, fusee patches, hekate patches, you would be able to install games fine unless you got a bootleg SD card that could be why you have problems.

Ok, I use Hekate, got to payloads, and use fusee-primary.bin to get into Atmosphere. I am using an RCM loader.

Have you ever tested the card to see if it legit or not with like H2testw?

I would give it a test to make sure the card is legit, if it says test finish without error it mean you got a legit card, copy your file off to a computer, and then test with the card empty, it might take a while to test the card, but worth your trouble, if the card is bootleg then you should replace it. Yea write and verify but empty the card first before testing.

Get update files from that Darth site, then update with Daybreak.

I typically update Atmosphere files first, then update the firmware, if you need to move files use Hekate usb feature so you don't have to take out the SD card.

Find the drive letter for the SD it is pointed to and do the write+verify.
