oh i have a normal fat PS4
with your case, replace new thermal paste/pads, then run fan control payload after jailbreaking, choose 65-70c fan threshold and you're good to go. Fan may sound louder but it keeps the ps4 cool.

Make sure your ps4 has good ventilation, nothing blocks its back where hot air coming out, nothing blocks it two sides where cool air is being sucked in.

Also make sure to rise it higher a little bit, 3-5cm is ok, there's some hot areas beneath.

i got the thermal pad, are both sides of it suppose to be sticky?

Edit: i cut the Thermal Pads, they dont exactly have to be 10MM do they? can they be like 10.30MM?

yes, both sizes are sticky

10,11,12mm..are ok as long as it covers the ram chip, and bigger than the original.

thanks, will take it apart tonight, hopefully i wont need anymore help.
iirc, fat models use 16 thermal pads for double-side 8 ram chips. I don't know how big the pad you ordered, but cut it with consideration. It doesn't need to be exact 10x10mm if you don't buy enough, a little smaller is ok but it shouldn't be smaller than the original.

I've done cleaning some fat models and now I remember exactly they have double-side ram chips which have thermal pads on both sides of them.

(124) How To Open/Disassemble a PS4 - YouTube - start from 14:09, the ps4 in clip is 1000 or 1100. These models have double-side ram chips

(124) PS4 1215 Teardown Tips & Tricks - YouTube - start from 14:00, the ps4 in clip is 1200. This model have single-side ram chips as slim and pro.

It depends on which fat model you have.

i replaced the thermal paste.

somethings didnt go well. most of the inside plastic is brittle so now i got a loose screw inside the PS4.

one of the side vents side plastic vent is now broke.

oddly the thermal paste i used before seemed to have evaporated as there was hardly any on the CPU itself.

not taking it back apart to get the loose screw out,

but at least the PS4 turns on and works.
