Hey guys,

I actually bought Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity but I never played the first one so I had started to play the first one but I'm confused so I need a few tips...
Everything about the game seem random because you have thousands of monsters swarming at you and it's not really a traditional game. I never played Dynasty Warriors but people say this game is like it so here are my two questions

#1 Does it really matter if I change my weapon ?
#2 Is there a better way to play this game because it's interesting but at the same time very repetitive keep killing thousands of the same monster again and again.

I like the game but my biggest concern was last night on the second mission I spent over 45 minutes killing the same type of monster over and over again and I'm not really used to playing a game like that ... I mean Zelda Links Awakening had useless monsters but not over 1000 of them respawning again and again

You always should be looking out for a better weapon, and no, the game is about killing monsters over and over, thats just what the game is.

The "fun" part (at least for me) are the nice animations, all the effects for your attacks and, once you advance far enough, you can turn up the difficulty for some very interesting and challenging boss fights. With the DLC around the corner (predicting it to be downloadable today) there will be additional content that hopefully gives you and every player even more incentive to play the game. It will probably not be as much stuff as in the first game but one can dream :D

You play for the story in between fights. These types of games are for nish grp of players. Play breath of the wild first and if you like it and the story, come back to this. The story is prequel to botw

I wish I hadn't played this. Its story is garbage and shouldn't really be called a prequel due to how it ends. I was so excited for the climax knowing how BOTW begins...then got the trash ending presented in AoC.

I like the game it's just the way it's designed my favorite charater right now is Linkle but then again I'm just starting out
