Currently, my 2DS XL is being repaired, and I'm left with my other New 3DS XL (unmoved).
I have my SD card from my 2DS XL, and I've been wondering if I could possibly homebrew my 3DS XL, put in my SD Card from my 2DS XL, and still have it work with the same data.

Is it possible to have my both of my homebrewed 3DS systems share the same SD card like that?

Thanks in advance

Stuffs not encrypted you can, game data inside the Nintendo 3DS folder is encrypted.
So, just out of curiosity, what does this imply?
I could do.. what? but i won't be able to... what?
Installed games (even if CIA, not legit) are encrypted and therefore won't be able to boot on another handheld?
Homebrew 3dsx should run fine tho? twilight menu, NDS, all that should run at least?

You got this right. Installed 3DS software and save data will be ignored on the second system. All homebrew, including TWiLight Menu++ will work (once the TWL++ loader DSiWare is installed on the second device).

It is in theory possible to overwrite the encryption key of one 3DS with the encryption key of another 3DS (or even with a "blank" key that will leave all data unencrypted), but that can cause problems – and besides, some data is still signed with the console-specific "CMAC" that is separate from encryption. And then there are games that use Anti Savegame Restore which can detect if something's been done to the save data.

You got a good chance of buying a used one and asking the seller how often they used or even ask for a Pic of fw and telling them not to update
