This game is easy to hack. So far it looks like everything is static on main. HP is 16bit. The code hack max HP and HP. 3600 is after I used all lives of the thousand gods to upgrade max HP until it won't increase any more. The girl started with 1400, I didn't check what Ryu started with. Just do a 16bit search for HP and you will find it easy.

Maybe try this which is what I have been using and I included the the max HP in the published code. Very surprise that it can cause problem and highly unlikely that it has anything to do with SX.

With inventory hack you don't really need HP hack anyway. I play without until finally decided it is too troublesome to use potion. Played enough to be very sure that it works fine for me.

One thing sure to work. Give yourself Talisman of Rebirth. Make a code for say 99 of them and your character will never die.

Already posted, it's together with the HP code, your inventory may be different from mine so the location may have item that you need to play the game. Just look for the last item in the inventory and add to it. Everything for the character is in the inventory list, you need to be careful with key item, supplies and weapons should be fine. Check out the post right after mine for lots of item codes.

Playing first stage, using only HP.
So far its working perfectly. About to finish stage 1 now.
also, im using SX. The copy im playing is NA. No freeze issues so far.
maybe its because im in Hero Mode that the freeze doesnt happen?
Also, an inf Nippon/Mana cheat when possible, thank you.

Edit: Now at stage with the airship.So far, no freezing.
