For some odd reason, I had a heap of trouble starting Godmode9. Luckily I managed to install FastBoot and was able to load Godmode9 from there. However, now I'm blocked from engaging in any sort of sysnand related writing because whenever the prompt to enter the combo keys to unlock the sysnand or anything really for that matter appears, the system fails to read any of the inputs! It's the most annoying thing because the D-Pad works generally fine, up until it's time to unlock write permissions. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

What release of GM9 are you using?

The latest one, I've tried practically almost every one, including modded ones. It never opens natively through the usual "start + boot" method. It'll only work if I run run it through fastboot, rename it as "start_godmode9.firm" in my luma payloads folder or name it as "boot.firm" on my root. But alas, after all those different methods of starting it up, once it does boot, I am unable to unlock the sysnand and really do anything for that matter because it doesn't register any of the key inputs for the unlock combinations.

Hmmm... I have no idea what could be causing that... If nobody comes along with an answer some time soon you could try asking the nintendo homebrew discord.

I am having this same issue, on GodMode 9, the dpad wasn't working, but then I realized it was most likely because my Y button was auto-inputting. After all, it would also try to copy and paste in GodMode 9 without me touching the Y button. Is there any way to fix these faulty inputs?

Hey there future person, Im too late to help any of these guys but I can help you. (Copy and pasted from lilyshy on the homebrew discord) "Alternate GodMode9 builds for broken consoles

To use, place in /luma/payloads/, then hold START while turning on your console to access Luma Chainloder. If START is broken, rename the file to y_GodMode9_<description>.firm to automatically boot the payload when holding Y on boot

GodMode9_SwitchScreens: Switches top and bottom screens (useful if top screen is broken),

GodMode9_TimerUnlock: Hold a button for unlock permissions rather than key combo (useful if dpad is not responding),

UNSAFE_GodMode9_AutoUnlock: !!! UNSAFE !!! Press A to unlock permissions,

GodMode9_NoCPad: Disable circle pad (useful if circle pad is bad/miscalibrated),

GodMode9_NoCPad_TimerUnlock: Disable circle pad and use timer_unlock (useful if circle pad is bad/miscalibrated AND dpad is not responding),

Other broken button things

You can use rehid to remap buttons and touchscreen controls (in 3DS mode only)

rehid build with inputs for 3D and volume slider,

,

OFI build for unresponsive DPads -- use in place of SafeB9SInstaller (Copy all files to root of SD, replacing existing ones. For exploits that look for SafeB9SInstaller.bin, such as Soundhax or super-skaterhax, rename SafeB9S.bin to SafeB9SInstaller.bin),

Unable to get past 3DS initial setup due to broken or nonexistent 3D slider: 2DSaver"

I cant send these files over reddit so ur gonna have to join their discord. This message has been pinned in the 3ds-assistance-1 chat so u can download the files there. https://discord.gg/MWxPgEp
