So the other day I was watching a review. To decide if someone was to watch the film the question was asked "do you have a sword in your room?". Seemed like a good question in general and as I am not going to be able to ask it at parties or pubs for a while to strike up conversation (it might be my new pickup line though).
Wooden practice swords is within the scope, wall art that would snap if you hit someone with it is fine, and I will also accept decently sized knives if they are reasonably considered or used as offensive weapons (think machete, kukri and so forth, as cool as karambit are they don't count here). Has to be a stabby or slicey long bladed thing -- no spears, staves, nunchucks, canes (unless sword cane of course), sai or the like count. "I would like to have a sword but don't" can still join in, but might want to think about sorting that out.

Don't need pictures but if you want then by all means share.

Sadly my metal swords got lost in a house move (only thing that was as well). There is one without a blade in the fireplace, and I have a wooden sword. Do also have a kukri.

Every time I went to an anime con, I used to stare at the walls of replica swords. They weren't plastic toys, either--they were full-on actual swords, stylized off game and anime appearances. (And in Texas, open-carry of swords is legal...so people would wear them around)

I've always wanted to get one. I don't quite know what I'd do with one; I'd put it on the wall, maybe, but then I'd rather just hang a poster, probably. There's just such a cool factor, though, I dunno.

I've seen pocket knives styled after Cloud's Buster Sword, though, and I'd love to buy one...if I could find a listing for a reasonable price.

Wooden practice swords is within the scope,
I've had to hide my training stuff from my kids, lest they destroy the entire apartment. They're destructive enough with a pool noodle, I'm not giving them access to anything with heft.

Hmm... is there any point in learning sword fighting anymore, considering it’s mostly illegal now?
Because as far as I’m concerned, some places commonly offer sword fighting lessons. Wouldn’t those be kind of useless today?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
