But seriously it's just a bit of a laugh! It won't affect gameplay at all

Secondary to the good friday agreement folks in NI can choose to identify as Irish, British or both. There is a lot of cross border cooperation and the customs borders are actually between the Isle of Britain and the Isle of Ireland.
