Hello, just got a second hand cfw 2ds xl recently and I spent the whole night researching at cfw and other things as I am not familiar with these things at all. I realized that my console has been region changed from japan to US and I am unable to access the eshop and update my games (I just really want to access pokebank)

Is there any ways to fix this?
would this work? 3ds.hacks.guide/region-changing.html

If I did manage to revert back to japan region, would I be stuck with the japanese language?

The region changing tutorial comes with this warning about eShop use:

Then, according to that, it will be a quite difficult (or perharps impossible at all) try to access to the eShop after region changing.

You can try with removing the actual NNID (as said here) and perharps also format your console (and reinstall all your content from zero) but it may not be safe to that work, after all.

On the other hand, you also can install the Pokebank app manually (from a .cia file via FBI)

wasn't pokemon bank shut down since home released?
Pokémon Bank is still up and running as far as I know, for transporting from previous generations, storing with Gen 6 and 7, and transferring forward into Pokémon Home.

If one really wanted to they could transfer a Pokémon caught in Gen 3 all the way into Home.
