If you used random builds uploaded of pie thats probably your issue. 9 wasnt slow at all for me but I built it myself. 10(Q) is far better than 9 imo and its pretty close to an official release.
I built that one. It was slower on Drastic than the public release like Castlevania DS was dropping a lot of frames while it was smooth on 9.

I would not know what the official version is. I say this because I'm not sure if the creators of LinageOs are involved. Although if I am sure that the version released by Switchroot will be the stable one and if the creators of LineageOS replicate it, it means that it will really be the official one.

that error is normal and some switches seem to be "special" and bluetooth just crashes for no reason. There is no solution.

Hello everyone, could someone help me with the Magisk for the Android 10 build? When I was using the Android 8 I flashed the Magisk from the recovery and there were no problems, but now I can't root the Android 10 build with LineageOS 17.1

Is it possible to see the HOS partition from android? as in load roms (stored in the HOS partition) for android version of retroarch?

How do you boot back to HOS from android?

You can only see sdcard (mnt/vendor/factory) in Android Q. You need Root to write.

Many thanks :) what about the reboot to HOS tho? how do i do that? or i guess its really reboot to hekate?
When to reboot, where does it go? In Hekate, you go to Options, activate Auto Boot and choose Atmosphere. Hit Close and in Boot Time Delay, put 3 second. Every time you restart you will have 3 seconds to press Vol - and go to Hekate; if not, it will only go to Atmosphere or whatever you chose in Autoboot.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Don't forget to click Save Options in Hekate to save.

I'm having trouble installing Android 10. I used Nyx to format my card with 32GB for Android, I flash android, reboot to TWRP, but I can't mount /data. I can still install android, but then I get asked for a password like it's encrypted or something. I can't reformat the partition. Internal Storage says 0GB, like it can't read it. What am I doing wrong?

I've spent most of last night messing with Q on Switch.. It's really good, alot faster than I thought it was gonna be.
Controller support is not the best, for example, while I managed to connect my Xbox one controller easy enough but I cant use the controller to write messages with the android keyboard which makes using Netflix docked (or any app that has a search function) awkward :P I was hoping the Home button on the controller would bring me back to the Launcher but it doesn't, which means I have to undock it to close apps too.

Retroarch and Kodi works fine (the main reason I installed Android on Switch) :P
I heard there's a way to get Android TV installed? but I know much about it, but that it may have better controller support?

But overall Android on Switch is great! cant wait till the official release :)

EDIT: found a solution to the keyboard issue I was having.... its possible to download Android tv version's of both the Youtube and Netflix app which have much better Controller support. :)

Out of curiosity, which emulators do you prefer for retroarch?
I tend to just use standalones for android, they seem to run much better from my experience.
I know your not alone in waiting a release or update in some form.
CTCaer sounded a little upset having to add support for the old Oreo boot files to Hekate :P.
I cant really imagine something official is too far off now, all the major bugs have been care of from what Ive noticed, and its seems in a much better state than Pies later releases, and they were lightyears ahead of Oreo.

Everything from C64 upto the 16 bit consoles play perfectly imo, N64/Flycast/Duckstation all play well on Retroarch too (bit gutted Saturn seems to run slow tho). I prefer Retroarch to standalone because I can load all my games from a single frontend rather than opening and closing separate apps :)
