I've heard more praise than criticism. If you think this looks like an XB1 launch title, you should stop playing on trash hardware.

ryzen 5 3600, 16gb 3666hz, rtx 2080 super, 3,500mb read nvme. All settings cranked to max on 1080p. And I've dabbled with 1440p, 4k. Ive tried all settings tweaks and stuff, it just doesnt get better.

The game is just trash. Literally the first part you walk into a bar and theres a guy doing something with his hands, and it turns out he's eating a burger and the burger is shooting right out from his dick and into his mouth. The npc will move their heads and the neck will just get pulled and jerked around, Ive also encountered the dick out of pants glitch (hilarious). even when the map is barren sometimes the npc will be fuzzy then pop in clear, the npc dialogue is hilarious, random shadow pop in, etc etc. Might be the worse game I've ever seen released.

Ive seen the glitches video on base ps4 too, its hilarious, i feel bad for console players. But even on $1000 pc, cyberpunk is just unfinished.

The good news the game will drop in price soon and if you want to bootleg it on steam you can. Seems to me the game overpromised and underdelivered

It's pretty ideologically sterile for a Cyberpunk themed game as far as I can tell based on what I've heard and read. Umurangi Generation is a lot better in that respect.

Definitely needs a lot of patches too, it almost reminds me of skyrim with how ambitious the game is and how buggy it is.

Aesthetically the game is nice and I'm sure the gameplay is pretty good but it seems very... inoffensive for a Cyberpunk game. Not exactly my cup of tea from all I've seen but I may pick up the game after a few patches.
What I've noticed from 25 hours of play time is that the main story doesn't really dwell into Cyberpunk themes but a lot of the side quests and readable entries definitely feel Cyberpunk-like.

Seemingly full Refund for ALL Gamers is possible, including SONY:

https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkg...sony_is_issuing_refunds_even_past_the_2_hour/

Edit 5: Noticed this post is making the rounds in articles from IGN, EUROGAMER, Gamespot, and a list of others. CDPR also released a statement about being able to get refunds, which apparently Sony isn't accepting. Maybe it's time we give Sony a fat flying "Fuck you" and stop supporting their business if they treat customers this way. They can get bent.

EDIT 4: For those calling bullshit, This screenshot is a snip showing the purchase and the refund of the game.

Edit: seems while most that have replied can confirm they're able to get a refund, some requests are being denied. Just wanted to reiterate that I had already removed the game from my PS4, deleted the saved data and just delt with customer service in a calm professional manner. I guess it depends on which reps you get. The lady I spoke to was very nice and understanding about the situation and even mentioned she was really looking forward to the game too. Good luck guys

Edit 2 for visibility: I unfortunately don't have a link for everyone. Sony forces you to go through support chat 1st. I never chatted with a live agent over chat, I used an automated thing and then they gave a number I could call: this is ONLY for US based customers. 855-413-3938

Edit 3: I had played well over 10 hours. My rep never mentioned this was a one time exception, however I've never called and asked for a refund before. I had also deleted the ENTIRE game off my PS4: Game data, saved data, everything. Sorry alot of people are having bad luck with this...

Original post:

I had to file a support claim online and sit on hold for over an hour to speak with someone, however they were quick to issue the refund and then delete the game off my library.

The lady I spoke with, Carly, also said that Sony is issuing a business complaint to CDPR about the issues, and I wasn't the first one to call in today about refunds.

I'm enjoying the game. Been playing it for a few days now. So far I've experienced a few minor bugs(dead enemies get stuck inside the walls), but nothing too major has happened so far. With all their delays I definitely expected a much polished product from them.

First look at a third person camera mod for Cyberpunk 2077.
Camera mod is a bit unpolished.
According to Cineagle, the first things that modders will have to do is improve the animations of the main character.
Not only that, but the default posture of the main character in 3rd person perspective.

That looks strange but promising

Efficient low effort leveling, if anyone is interested. :)

Turn difficulty to very hard, equip grenade launcher armed with tranquilizer rounds. Read video description.

I gave it a chance, it's fun and the writing is decent, but it's obviously very buggy. I also hate the loot and inventory management systems.

Too many dildos. 7.8/10

You havent experienced this game, until you've driven in an orange Quadra over Night CIty Highways listening to the Jazz station blasting "You dont know what love is" by Nina Simone, followed by an eleven minute saxophone solo... ;)

This game has its moments I tell you. :) Also - the cards popup, thats semipermanetly on screen? Bug. The second one I had permanetly at that time in the play session. First one is a very frequent one, where my footstep sounds start to disappear after a while...

I had my first annoying bug the other day after a pretty solid 25 hrs.. my car/bike view got stuck in first person and it wouldn't let me change to third. That's honestly been the worst of it for me so it must be why I've been enjoying this game more than most people seem to be.

Cyberdecks in this game are only gated by streetcred (see above leveling method. ;) ). Best cyberdeck software (Suicide, Cyberpsychosis, ..) drops from these enemies (once your character level is higher):

Best Cyberdecks to get (second and third) you can see in this video:

With max streetcred, the second cyberdeck and the software from the drops, you can use max quickhacks at intelligence level 4 and below. :) And they will spread to one additional enemy.

You guys still play this game?
Yup. Slowed it down a bit, mostly doing one or two smaller side missions a day, partly because maybe I can get another patch release in - while not doing main quest stuff, partly because I savor my time with the game.

I've already played 100 hours tracked (80 on my save so 'official' the rest just strolling around) and I like the atmosphere very much.

Bugs werent a large issue in my case (most annoying ones are footsteps sounds going missing from time to time (have perks to increase run speed) and some item pickups clipping into the floor so you cant get them - not a huge issue, as the game spams you with items, and the 'best ones' are in locations where that doesnt happen.) so far.

Motivation still is there - and I just plain - like the worldbuilding.

To sum up on a GTX 1660Ti PC slightly below 30fps (which is lower than next gen console performance) the city is still the main thing that pulls me back in. So is Vs apartment, and the apartment complex - I'm just a sucker for the worldbuilding at this stage (also I grew up reading Cyberpunk Pulp, so I have a fondness.).

On pacing and tone - I made the character above (two items from the 'corpo' legendary set (h**ps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgoVQ6mWgKM) are enough (enough slots) to make you 'invincible' with certain other attribute tree perks in most encounters), early game I liked the Orange Quadra very much (just blends in well with the light/mood design in the game), then I switched to the Herrara Outlaw GTS (silver, and sleek - but not too outrageously futuristic), and now I'm basically into the atmosphere of me roleplaying a film noir detective, with a straw hat, and a silver car, in a dystopian future with filmgrain, and fog effects that look good, over an entire city.

Whats there not to like. :)

(Guns are pistols Genjiroh (Smart pistol) and Lizzie Pistol (Tech pistol - picked up at level 50, not sure if it had one higher tier upgrade option), and any decent Katana you like (my choice at this point is based on color scheme, because damage output is more than enough, once specked into the tree) - so I'm not into the fast gunplay and playing it like a shooter (not at those framerates.. ;) ). I also very much enjoy my top tier quickhacks at 4 intelligence (of 20). ;) (Cant use them as often, as a character specked into this, but strategically, which is fun - and has me pulled more into the stealth gameplay - but just when it feels like a mission narratively calls for it (my choice - sometimes ending in firefights.. ;) ).)

One more tip for atmosphere. As soon as you've met Takamura in the Diner (pretty early on in the game), you have the option to get a cat for Vs apartment. Having the cat, stops loud 'my dads choice of rock' (wouldnt call it punk.. ;) ) music from randomly playing in your apartment (you cant turn it off otherwise), which helps with enjoying its atmosphere.. ;) A lot. Id rather listen to ambient noises all day - and it provides a much more low key experience. So get the cat early. Imho. ;)

(Also you dont have to use the apartment as a hub at all, because you have access to your stored inventory from your cars booth, yet for me its still an essential part of the experience. :) (I like the atmosphere. As in - "I like the atmosphere - the game."))

edit: If you are wondering, why I'm focusing on those aspects - watch this video, which gets its description of the game right - imho:

(I'm, circumventing some of the games flaws, by playing this way. (Getting to level 50 early, choosing my gear, then ignoring most of the lootspam, or the need to change gear for the highest armor rating.) video also gets 'quality and significance' of the games storytelling right.) Combat is fun, but you might have to play under speed a little (if one of the most effective ways of ending it is oneshot meleeing your opponents, with close to no risk, positioning yourself faster than the AI ever could).)
