I notice there is a ps4 streaming app. Would anyone be open to tackle one for the Xbox?

Now I own a Xbox series S, just thinking how amazing it would be to use the Switch to play Gears 5 through streaming from the Xbox console.

Dare I even dream one day there would be a homebrew app for Xbox Game Pass? There is already an android app for it.

I just learned that the Joycons *can* actually be put into a deep sleep "shipping mode", that is only activated from factory and never again.

Would it be possible for a homebrew app to activate this on the controllers (also Pro?) for transport so that they won't constantly search for the Switch when buttons are pressed inside a bag or case?

Yeah, not doable at current Atmosphere state and probably noone will put so much effort to make this real. It would require making completely separate system release, because devs would need to design system for devs to use it. And it would be really hard to do it without breaking current system.

Really just wanna use the Switch screen and controller to play games off of my Xbox Series S. And I get the sense others may want the same feature.

I can attest it does support streaming in local network. The page specifying "internet connection" is misleading.

It has two meanings.

Container: https://switchbrew.org/wiki/BCAT_Content_Container

Tl;dr it's a service to use with Nintendo servers for downloading/uploading encrypted data. Bcat is also used to name files downloaded via this service which are stored in separate bcat storage.

I'm asking because I'm a programmer but with no clues at how switch OS and homebrews for switch works, so I'm just curious to know what would be the actual difficulties on the path to port firefox to the switch.

The major one would be constant support. Probably that's why noone wants to do it because browser needs constant maintaining.

Quite technical data.

I say this because there are games that store in BCAT such as Animal Crossing, events that are unlocked in certain circumstances, such as specific dates.

looking for someone that could make a Majoras Mask Port for me. My Family is home for the holiday and this is a game we all played together since it was launched. We no longer have our N64 or Wii U to play it on anymore. This year has been hard on us all, Lost my Brother to Covid this year. If someone could make this port for me I will buy you coffee, beer, cookeis, you name it. This is a very important game to us.
