Is it possible just to translate the 2D Mode of DQXI in english?is the script of 3d mode or 2d mode of the game are the same code or separate?can you play the game on 2d mode from the start to finish?or is there someone already translating the game in english?thanks.

It's not as easy as just copypasta from here to there.

There might be a serious attempt at it but I have my doubts. There's a lot of work and skill involved.

On the 3ds for the first few hours of the game you play with the 3d graphics showing on the top screen and the 2d graphics on the bottom screen. It's only after a certain event that you can pick to play just 3d or just 2d.

I've heard that it's in the works by a certain team but they won't talk about it until it's ready to release. take that with a grain of salt though.

It would be enough for me if they would translate just the interface and everything except dialogues.
I already know the story from playing PC and Switch version, so all i need left is to experience 3D mode in 3DS version.

Yeah..i played it too on switch but i like to exp it on 3ds because i like the art style.

I don't get that, it's not being localized here in the U.S.A., but no one can do a fan translation!?
Another way of Nintendo getting people to go buy the Switch

I am also interested in a translation of this game, I do not have a Switch and I do not plan to get it in the near future because of joy con drift and the price of the games and hardware

Well, whoever is translating the game can't do a public release or they will just get a cease and desist from Square Enix, that what happened to Dragon Quest VII translation. If people really want to play a translated version they can play the DQ 11 version on PC or PS4, and the updated version DQ XI S on PS4/Xbox 1/PC and Switch.

@Hayato213 no offense but i get that and i think everyone that is into gaming or dragon quest and wants to play the game knows there is a console/pc version but its still something else to play it on the N3DS for example and when i speak for myself i think dragon quest games are the best on ds/3ds but maybe i m alone with that opinion

Im just pointing out what happened with previous dragon quest game fan translation. The 3ds is dead so you ain't going to see one from Square Enix, and if there was a fan translation it would just get shutdown. DQ11 is an awesome game I played two playthrough already.

I hope the dream or proyect of translating the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI doesn't die, the 3DS is so cool and has so much charm, I know that it would be shutdown if SE knows, but the idea of the 3DS to be able to play every DQ main series (one way or another) form I to XI makes it worth to try, at least I hope there is a patch for the menus, to at least know what I would be doing lol

I agree, not to mention the 3D top screen 16 bit bottom screen mode any other versión has

If you meant how it looks on the 3DS and how it looks on the switch, it has to do with with hardware limitation.
