Ah, I see. Anyway, how do I update my NoNpDRM version 1.00 with the latest patch? I can download the game with the latest patch with PKGj but that just takes too long. Now, I have the game on my Live Area, version 1.00, how do I update it?

What? Really? It has never worked for me. I tried to update several NoNpDRM games from the LIve Area and they won't install.

pkgj can do the same thing without having to scroll over the game. I'm pretty sure either works. I've yet to encounter a game on my vita that didn't work.

not sure what could be wrong with updates not installing. try pkgj. I've yet to have this issue installing in either fashion.

It's going to take a while, why is my Vita download speed so slow? It has always been slow, but it seems that it is atrociously slow now. Is there anything I can do to make it faster? I've turned off wifi power saving and use Google DNS.

not that I know of. I think the pstv goes faster (at least it did originally with pkgj), but the normal download method is notoriously slow.

@Rich8606 You should use NPS Browser to download, it have better connection and resume download. After install, follow the guide to configure from the FAQ, the program will do everything for you, you only have to copy the folder to ux0.
It even sort the file to the correct folder on ux0, like base game go into app, update go into patch, dlc to addcont. You do not have to find the place, just put app/addcont/patch directly onto ux0. Refresh LiveArea then will complete the installation.

But NPS browser can only download the base game, it doesn't download updates? What I'm downloading now are updates. I searched for Killzone Mercenary on NPS browser and only the game and DLC comes up, no patch/updates.

I checked again, so you have right click and check for updates and download it from a separate window. Downloading patch now, so this patch is NoNpDRM? I don't need to decrypt it? Just copy it to patch folder in ux0?

Same slow download speed... So it's not just my Vita. Must be my ISP or something... I have a 20Mbps internet, it shouldn't be this slow.

Dammit, so no other option but to wait? Could take days just to download this 500MB Killzone patch.

So I read on reddit, I should delete my NoNpDrm version 1.00 game bubble first and copy it again along with the update, and only then refresh the Live Area? Otherwhise the game will still show as version 1.00 if the game bubble is already installed and I refresh only the patch?

You can get the link in the tsv files. Put that in your browser just to see if it downloads at the same speed.

Link directly from PSN? But if I do that will the patch be decrypted? Or will it be the same PKG patch files like the one I downloaded using VitaGameUpdateChecker? I downloaded them using the direct PSN links and it's an encrypted PKG file.

NPS will decrypt after you complete the config for it. You can use the program NPS use to decrypt manually if you downloaded a pkg file.
About the reddit post, it is wrong. You dont have to delete the original app game, because each part of the game is completely seperate, meaning app and update and DLC all stay in their own folder.

Really? Hold on, I already have the 42Mb encrypted PKG Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD update. How do I decrypt it with NPS? I tried decrypting it with pkg2zip/ZRIF combo and failed miserably.

FYI, turns out I am already downloading the 500MB Killzone update directly from PSN since last night. It's slow (60KB/s), but not as slow as Vita and NPS (0-1KB/s). But it will be encrypted right? How do I decrypt it with NPS?
