When you have the maintenance mode active, you will see a lots of option, dont do anything, just turn your switch off , it'll clear the cache and update in the waiting.

You have to keep the volume + and - pressed during boot sequence , until you see the maintenance mode menu poping.

Yep, maintenance mode clear cache and pending updates, it works with game updates too

Set your switch to airplaine mode and do reboot to payload and boot back to AMS.
Don't connect to internet if it is not necessary.

Airplane mode is not that practical for game hackers. Some tools won't work without wifi and I am not aware of any hack to enable wifi without internet (would be nice to have wifi between PC and Switch when internet is down).

Hmm maybe it will help fix the issue with Immortal Fenyx Rising cheats? Wishful thinking.

cheats hit or miss is a pointer problem , not a cfw problem
some cheats might need asm code for 100% working
