Hello guys, how's it going?

I recently got a second hand Wii which is already modded. It has the Homebrew channel and the USB Loader GX.
There are some things that I want to do, but I will need some clarification:

1. How do I find out if my Wii already has PriiLoader installed?
2. Does my Wii has modified IOSs?
3. Can I format my Wii to make it look like brand new and do the hacking process again?

To give you guys some info, here's my sysCheck

Also, when I turn my console on, there's an image that comes up which doesn't seem to be part of the default Wii boot, here's a photo:

And lastly, this is how my Wii menu looks like:

One more thing: I tried to launch the bootmii via HBC to backup my NAND, but it only gives me a black screen with blinking drive, also there's no bootmii folder in the SD card. So that means bootmii is not installed and now I need PriiLoader?

Your console has a custom theme installed. This can be removed by reinstalling the entire system menu, or just the original theme for 4.3u with mymenuify mod.

Priiloader is not installed, it would be listed in your syscheck if it was

Bootmii is installed but it won't load without it being present on your sd card

I suggest you use modmii, run its main wizard, when asked if this is your first time modding the wii, say yes, even though it's not true. Follow the steps of your custom guide, it will overwrite any older mods currently in place, no need to format first.

To remove the theme, when modmii asks about installing a custom theme, pick one that isn't the same old boring theme. It will then instruct you on how to use mymenuify mod to install a custom theme, which u can do if you want, or you can adjust the steps to reinstall the original theme instead (iirc modmii will save this in the same place as the custom theme you've chosen, so just pick it instead of the coloured theme)

Hello. 1111xmas_wink.gif

Welcome to the Wii Section.

For your Picture(s):
J1s5TK5.jpegpjmjxXs.jpeg

This is a Custom Theme installed.Maybe with the MyMenuify Mod Tool.

For your sysCheck (thank you, that was very foresighted).:)
It is ok but outdated and it is maybe a good Idea to be Updated.

Priiloader can you check:

- Power on the Wii while press and HOLD the RESET Button.
If a Menu appears,it is installed, but maybe also outdated I think...
Please make a Screenshot or write down the Version please.:)

And yes, your Wii have cIOSes/modified IOSes installed.

EDIT::..."someone" was faster with an Answer...

Thank you.:)

Cool! Thanks for the answers guys!
The thing is, I'm really thinking about formatting it and doing the hacking process myself, so that I can learn how it is done. Would it be safe to do that? By doing it, would I lose the custom IOSs? If I do that, is there anything important that I should pay attention to?

Also, I've already backed up the NAND, just in case.

If it is from before the Modding, then it makes Sense to do a "Reset" or better said NAND Restore with BootMii.
Please note, that Priiloader is gone after that Process !

Formatting the Wii with the Factory Reset Option is not really helpful. Also an Wii System Update did not really clears everything.
If you have Save Games which are valuable for you,you should back it up with the SaveGame Manager GX.

If you are a experienced Wii Modding User, you can use the Tool "Ohneschwanzenegger".
This needs very good Knowledge and a lot of Work to do.After that you have a Wii right out of the Package.
Note: It is really not the best Solution for new Wii Modding Users. Please consider this.:)

Good Luck
Thank you.:)

Why wouldn't the factory reset be helpful?

The same Reason why a System Update is not really a Solution.

Formatting the Wii with the Factory Reset Option is not really helpful. Also an Wii System Update did not really clears everything.

The two Processes that makes your Wii "clean like out of the Box" is a NAND Restore from a Wii (where nothing was changed/downloaded...),the NAND made before any Modding or the "Ohneschanzenegger" Solution.:)

You want to do a new Modding by yourself on a clean Wii,was that not your Intention ? :(

I see! I think I'll just do a cleanup on the SD card and the channels to spare myself of the hassle of cleaning everything up. But, if now I decide to clean everything up, now I know how, thanks to you guys! :)
