Hi guys I'm looking tk get my switch mod chipped and have a few questions if I may.

1. Is it safe ? In terms of bricking the console.
2. Who would you recommend to do it ?
3. How muxh would i look at paying?
4. I read u can dual boot. Does that make it safe tk go online with legit games etc l
5. Is it easy to update once modded. Both the ofw and cfw ? I've soft modded a 3ds kn the last and that was easy enough to update when needed.
6. Would you recommend having it done with all the pros and cons ?

Thanks guys :-)

1. If you don't have soldering skills and no plan what to do...it isn't safe
2. A dude with soldering skillz?
3. Depends on where you buy.
4. With legit games and a clean sysnand...yes.
5. CFW, offline. OFW via switch system settings. But there is never a reason to update immediately.
6. Pro, you can use a cfw. It is the crappy sx os. But better than nothing. Con, you can brick the console if you don't know what you're doing.

You can use much more than sx os.
Find out if it is
A)
Mariko
B)
Patched

patched modchip can run everything one way or another.
Mariko can run only sx.

I know it can't be soft modded mine came back as a maybe so tried it and it didn't work. :-(

It came back on the website I used as I might be able to mod it. From what I gather it was a serial number that was in-between there changing of the system to stop the hacking. This was a year ago I tested it.

Have you already sent a payload? It is possibly patched. Says the website.

Yeah I did try that. Tin foil in the connections using a USB cable to send the data it didn't work. I mean for the price of the purpose made things to bridge the connections would it be worth trying one of them ? Just incase I didnt do it right

Don't use tinfoil or sharp objects. Try copper. And use tegrarcmgui to send a payload.

You do it correctly if your screen stays black after pressing the button combination while pin 10 is bridged with pin 7 or 1. Your console is definitely patched if your screen stays black after injecting the payload.

Tbh it was a long time ago I tried it. I might just give it another crack with the proper equipment and see if I fair any better
