If this was already eluded to or posted, sorry, I couldn't find it, but...

I figured out one of my 2 switches' pocket positions (#1 has 3 players, #2 has 4 players).

WORKING - Switch #1 - (3 local players):
With 3 local players, the starting slot I need to use for ALL OF THEM*** is offset by 2 players' starting slots.

So:
Normally this would have been:

• Player 1 Pocket #1 position = AD3C7FD8 (mentioned and documented a bunch so far)
• Player 2 Pocket #1 position = AD4FBB50 (slot 1 start + 133B78)
• Player 3 Pocket #1 position = AD62F6C8 (slot 2 start + 133B78)
• Player 4 Pocket #1 position = AD763240 (slot 3 start + 133B78)
  
• etc...

*** Using the above scenario, the new way that is working for me is, with 3 local players, the player I am logged in with has to use player 3's starting position of AD62F6C8. It's offset/shifted up by 2.

It seems that when whatever user is logged in and active, they all use the same pocket slots which are now offset based on the # of local players.
This rocks for my use case actually! Less cheat codes in Edizon to scroll down and enable depending on who I am playing at the time.
BUT... I haven't tested simultaneous logged in users, so...

• This is tested only with 3 local players and each time, just ONE LOGGED IN at a time.
• I did not try, and won't try to, use multiple controllers to see what sweet hell this unleashes when two or more local users are logged in and playing at the same time... I never tried multiple logged in local users before, and won't, sorry.

But, for working and playing on my island as I do, logging in as player#X is working perfectly as described above so far using the same starting slots for all 3 players. That rocks!!!!

I will test the second switch tomorrow or over the weekend to confirm the 4 player scenario, but it seems that this may work there as well.

So, again, my findings are based only on a 3 local player use case and only when one player is logged in and playing at a time.

I so far only have tested using player 3 slots for all local players on that switch these features:

• Chat buffer to item cheat
• Dupe Slot 1 through slot 20
• Slot 1 x10, x30, x50 multipliers

All those above work as before once you adjust the starting slot according to the number of local players. And again, I do not know if that scales for 2, 4, or more players, but I expect it will.

I'll try to note my switch #2's findings with 4 local players once I get to it.
I built my Edizon file for up to players so I can test my switch #2 easily. Players 5-8 are simple enough to sort out if players 2 & 4 work as I think they will. I can share it interested, but its just players 1-4.

NOTES:
I did not discover any of the pocket positions. Just did some math and testing.

I didn't quite understand if you mean with "3 local player" the number of registered players on your island or just the accounts on your switch, but I assume it are the registered players
If that is the case we'd have the same results. That should be amazing.

Extra:
When I logged in with multiple accounts (I think you mean the multiplayer from nooks phone app), the extra players used the same Slot ID's as everyone else.

yeah, I think that could have worked before, before Apple disposed of 32-bit support on the newer versions of Mac OS I tried looking at the app for phones, but it was a little confusing. I will just have to keep borrowing a Win-unit, I guess

Yeah, sorry about that.

Your chart was a little unclear to me on what it was pointing out.
I thought you might be implying that each player would be moving up to a different slot, so they all would still have their own starting position like before, just shifted. Or something else. I was drinking, poor excuse, but I just wasn't sure what the end result was. Looking back at it after my tests, yeah, I can see it now. Still takes a bit of thinking for me just from a graphical standpoint. Sorry, I don't usually visualize in that way for these things. Sorry about that!

What I meant about "# of local players", yes, I meant the amount of registered players on your island.
On my one switch, I just have 1 installed user system wide. Me. But on my island, I created a few profiles.
So with three local profiles, three is the magic number.

And thanks for your cool graphics. They've been useful for sure!

And thanks for being the first to point it all out - even though I really just missed the end result of it.

They just use their cheats online, nobody has been banned for it since day 1, so people getting more brazen about it.

I tried to use another person's save file but it stucks the same. I'm on 10.2.0 ofw and 0.15 AMS. I have tried reinstall the game but in vain.
