Hello,

I have been using XCIs on SXOS for the past two years but eventually got banned so finally decided to move to installing NSP/NSZ files. Almost all games in my library installed perfectly and all is fine and dandy. In a couple of cases I have a very weird problem - the game appears to install properly but when I try to run it without loading the XCI (like I run all the other ones) I get an error message saying "The software was closed because an error occurred". I've tried to completely wipe the software data and the save data and install "clean" but the result is always the same. I found that in all cases (three games) where this happens the game has been ran (and in some cases played) using a "superXCI" (some sort of expanded dump that also includes the latest update in it). I'm not sure this is necessarily a problem of the installer (same issue with SX Installer and Tinfoil) - it might be cause by the superXCI or some combination of both but the fact is that in these cases I haven't found a way to get it working. Loading the [super] xci file gets the game going normally. I've seen similar issues reported by others and apparently "resetting the game with DevMenu" whatever that means might have helped but I'm on the latest FW 10.0.3 (?) and I don't think that software is supported on it.

TL;DR - The games are still playable using their respective super XCI files but installing them appears to have become impossible.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is the correct section for this post. If it's not, some mod please move it or let me know if I can do it and where to place it.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!

It's exfat.

Did you try another source for the games? Maybe the games weren't compressed the right way!

Multiple sources (although I can't be sure I'm not downloading the same thing under a different name). But the fact is these specific games are the problematic ones. I've went through around 60 games from normal XCI to installed NSP/NSZ without any issues. Only these specific games which were super xci are erroring out like this. Since I experienced this issue I have been avoiding the superXCIs like the devil and, surprise surprise, everything works just fine.

I also tried other things after I posted here since there was no answer for a long time - I reset version requirements and whatnot but the issue remains for these few titles. I just accepted the fact that I will have to finish them in this way, remove them and if I want to play them again in the future I'll just have to get the same superXCI.

With the help of one gentleman from another community I was able to get this working by enabling the "Convert to standard crypto" option.

Might help to mention the game(s). If a game adds up to over 29 gb it won't work period.

Edit: Nevermind I didn't read your most recent message.
