Finally got the core and installed it. I owe this community a lot, and especially this thread of which i read every post from its conception. Learned a lot from you guys.

Didn't take any photos of the install, and currently dumping the NAND.

hahahahahhaa guard down hahahaha

im questining that thermal pad on the shielding above battery

I have them and all the console is pretty fresh!

anyone happen to know what 00FFFD4E during a nand dump signifies, sxos is booting on this system and it was able to update the sx lite's firmware, but nand dump is failing with that code using the 3.0.4 beta

Had a question, Do you use flux when pre-tinning the pads too or just when connecting the sx core to the existing capacitors?

Change sd card, I had that issue and solved by using another sd

I need some assistance, just installed an SX core onto my ipatched switch and can't get past the boot.dat.

I went back to resolder everything using a microscope and effectively, bad solder joints.
Resoldered everything with patience, a soldering station, lots and lots of flux, and the microscope.
Still can't get past Boot.dat screen. Tried 2 different SD cards (400gb and 32gb) (Formatted to exFAT and FAT32)
Suspected SD card reader but checked pins under my microscope. All clean and as good as new (both mobo side and reader side

I'm suspecting either the remaining flux is shorting something or my sd card reader is fucked (or worst case, the flex is fucked)
Am gonna try leaving it dry overnight and desoldering everything tomorrow to see if it still works vanilla. (after trying it out again)

You can see my soldering job (amateur) in the photos.

Edit: I never got a red light, soldered or not, the SX Core ALWAYS gave me a green light (almost instantly)

Use a tooth brush, IPA , and some toilet paper :) from the overstock on cpu qsb, on card reader just ipa and tooth brush, inspect again micro sd slot on mb, and on readear module, clean the module, hope you will solve the problem.

Yeah, I cleaned it with a lot of IPA and cotton swabs (and TP too, to remove excess at first), hopefully it dries overnight and reads the boot.dat file.
I'm 99% sure the pins of both sides (Mobo/reader) are ok, me and my dad checked those on the microscope. The rest of the module I didn't check.

I tried a few diff ones and same issue (sandisk 64gb, sandisk 256gb, sandisk evo 256gb), ill keep trying but have yet to get it to fully do a nand dump without eventually hitting that error code. Wish they had a list somewhere that helped you tie the error codes together
