Retroarch is good, and Lakka is as well but, I want to be able to play sm64 rom hacks and those options don't allow that. I'm going to try previous versions of retroarch but in the meantime does a standalone n64 emulator exist?
well, whenever I boot them, they sometimes have the title screen and then the screen stays black. What settings do you use to get them to work? also, what versions of retroarch and lakka are you on?i play rom hacks on retroarch and lakka. what problem are you having specifically?
Ok, I'm using an older version of Lakka, this one has parallel_n64 and the roms work, now the audio is the issue so I'm going to mess around with lakka.ok, the patching could be a problem but i just downloaded retroarch on my computer and tested the roms on there with mupen64plus_next (which is in both lakka and retroarch) and they didnt work. But then I also used parallel_n64 (which is in either of the latest releases) and they worked in that. I'm going to download an older version of retroarch and hopefully be able to run the roms using parallel_n64. if that doesn't work, I guess I can just re-patch the roms and try running them again.
i think it only allows you to boot back into rcm, I've never seen or heard about anyone rebooting to payload.Talking about lakka, is there a way to boot directly to hekate gui from lakka?
> project 64yeah, they all work on my computer using project 64, did you patch your hacks? or did you just download straight z64 files?
also what setting do you use for gpu oc?
Yeah, i had a feeling it had to do with something like that... but parallel 64 seems to handle the rom hacks just fine, aside from a few minor graphical glitches.> project 64
Some older romhacks rely on emulation hacks/inaccuracies in older emulators and will not work in newer, more accurate emulators (or real hardware).
