Homebrew Best way to access switch files on pc?

I've always used nxmtp but it seems to be outdated and I no longer can use it on 10.0.2. Isn't there a newer way to do it?

I see that Hekate now allows it. But I'd rather not have to send another payload I just prefer to access it through a homebrew app while booted.

Its working just fine for me, I'm using the latest atmo + 10.0.2. Did you get the 1 that was updated on this site? Or the old school 1 from deers github?

Yeah I didn't know there was a newer one. So I need nxmtp-900-hidfix.zip correct? Or is there an even newer one?

For some reason even with that version it doesn't show up on my computer. It makes a noise when I open it on my computer, but I can't access it.

Even the old version was working but then I clicked on nyx_usb_max_rate (run once per windows pc).reg which came with Hekate and it hasn't worked since. I'm pretty sure that's the cause.

Just tried it on another computer and working fine. Really hope I can figure out how to get it working on my main computer though.

No my switch does not work on my pc anymore the only thing I can do is send payloads but when I try nxmtp any version or awooinstaller it says it's not connected to my pc. I opened an issue on github and CTCaer says nyx_usb_max_rate does not effect anything but I beg to differ because I started having problems with my switch through usb right after I installed a usb .reg. I know there's coincidences but that's not one I'm buying.

Already ahead of you I installed libusbk didn't fix it.

I've used that reg myself, it did absolutely nothing. But I'm on win 7 32 bit. What's your OS?
Try deleting the registry value, or if you're 100% sure the reg did it & you can't find the value, try going back to a previous version of Windows.

I deleted the .reg value but it didn't help. I am on Windows 10. I'm not going to bother downgrading the entire OS for this I'll just use a different computer.

You shouldn't! I was talking about system restore, not downgrading Win 10 to Win 7.

Oh yeah, I tried that too but somehow I don't have any restore points. I actually just did a PC reset a few days ago (had to) I guess that's why.

It's alright I've got an older laptop with a broken screen that I've hooked up to my TV and works fine, and I'll just use that for Switch stuff.

for issues w/ USB Modes not working so easily try diff USB Cables, its stupid but when i had a few issues w/ USB installs in goldleaf (before there was Awoo) and in tinfoil, tried the USB Cable that came with my 8bit SN30 Pro Worked!, tried that short AF one with the Pokeball plus? that wouldnt work, and recently w/ the one that came w/ my Pro controller (Nintendo offical) it worked). try diff USB ports as well.

It's not a cable issue because multiple reasons 1 the computer will send payloads to the switch using TegraRCM, it just won't let me use any homebrew apps, two I can use the usb cable fine on another computer for both Tegra and homebrew apps.

Memloader is the same as Hekate you have to use another payload to access the files I'm not interested in that. I'm not really big on FTPing either. Again my solution is just use another computer and it's fine. Already tried all the usb ports and I've mentioned that. I've tried everything it's not possible other than a system restore which I don't have access to.

Hekate's usb registry thing borked my computer from using my switch there is no other logical reason because it happened immediately after I double clicked the .reg and it was working 100% immediately before I clicked the .reg and I've already deleted the reg key but it did not help.

from my experience, neither ftp, nor nxmtp work all that well.
hekates usb mode is much more stable and faster, even factoring in having to use payload launcher to load hekate again.

You're entitled to your opinion, mine is nxmtp worked perfectly until the app you're praising messed it up.

About speed you're probably right but I prefer convenience over speed Hekate's or memloaders methods are inconvenient to me. If I'm going to bother to have to turn off my switch, send a payload do what I need to with files then send another payload to return to where I was I could just as easily just take my sd card out put it in my computer and do it that way.

But in addition to messing up access to files I can't install games from usb anymore either. Awooinstaller says no device is connected even though it is.

that registry entry also shouldn't affect this at all.
and even if it could, removing
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbstor\11ECA7E0]
would undo that.

All I know is my usb to my switch stopped working immediately after I clicked on a usb.reg. No one will convince me it's a coincidence.
