Hello everyone, how's it going. Hope you all are staying safe!
So here's my "issue". I have two switches, and I bought the second one before emunand was even a thing. They're both exploitable and not ipatched. I use one for CFW and one for OFW. Now that emunand is out, is there a point in having a second switch? I'm thinking of selling it. Just how safe is emunand if I keep it offline 100% of the time? I just feel like there's no point in having two consoles anymore. Another thing, if I were to sell it, how much would it be worth (no dock & charger)?

People are buying unpatched switches for 500€ over here... So. Good luck

EmuNAND is still a copy of your sysnand at it's core, so there's still some shared information between the two. So your sysnand is not safe just because you do everything related to hacking on emunand.

Although for me personally, it's been 2-3 years and I haven't been banned. You could sell one of the switches and make some decent profit and then maybe buy a switch lite or something if you're interested in that and pocket the extra money, since unpatched switches are going for more money. Then you'll have 1 where you can pley legit without any fear and one where you can hack and do as much as you want.

Wow! I bought this thing a while back for $140! Was the console only, though.

Seriously? I was offered $180 for this thing. Thanks for pointing this out.

Well, it really depends on condition and what's bundled with it. If you have the original box and good condition tablet/everything else, it could easily sell for more than the base price of $300

You could use one for online and one for CFW stuffs assuming one of them have a clean NAND, the price for unpatched unit are going up, also most retailers are out of stock due to coronavirus, there are no production of the switches.

Some use 2 micro sd cards. One for OFW and legit games, then the other for emunand things. I’d sell my second switch, if I had one. Emunand is my second switch and sysnand is my original. Though, I’d be tempted to reshell my second switch and sell that.

Certain multiplayer experiences are better with multiple Switchs: playing Pac-Man Vs in Namco Museum is fantastic, the Super Mario Party game has some unique games that can make use of multiple Switch place next to each other, if you want more than one island for Animal Crossing New Horizons you will need more than one Switch. There is speculation that a Switch model is in development that will make use of a secondary screen, seems like that might just mean that a second Switch could connect to that model of Switch and be used in a very similar manner as the Wii U Gamepad, heck that's pretty much what Pac-Man Vs.already is now that I think about it.

I've got two, one OFW lite and a regular one for homebrew and stuff.
I'm old so I always now on which to play on with what and don't accidentally go online with CFW.
