something very weird happened to me using cheats through sxos. i messed with some codes and crashed my console a couple times. but i noticed now that my villager's inventory is bugged. i can only access the first row of my inventory and if i try to pick up items past 9, they disappear and don't show in my bag. ive tried fixing it with NHSE to no avail. i deleted all cheats off sxos. ive tried using other cheats to fix it....at this point do i just make a whole new save/island? yes: im aware i should have made a backup before messing with code. i don't mind starting a new island but wanted to share my experiences. (anyone have a save they can share with me? that maybe has resident services unlocked lol)

I did a backup in jksv for ACNH and it saved as passphrase.bin, and when I restore that it doesn’t restore anything and I now have lost weeks worth of progress. I checked an older backup that I made weeks ago and it saved normally with a main.dat and mainheader.dat and villager0 folder. My latest backup is just passphrase.bin though and it can’t be restored, does anyone know a way to fix this or do I have to start over?

Anatomy of an Item Code:
It might be a bit more complex than this in some situations or with some more specific items, but this should get you started.

Simple Item Code: (no durability or customization)

16DB = Item ID for Nook Miles Tickets -- change this to what you want from the Item ID Doc
09 = Item quantity (1 more than shown; 00 = 1 Ticket, so 09 = 10 Tickets)
If you change this higher than the max, it will default to 1. So in this example, Nook Miles Tickets max stack is 10 -- if you set this value to 0A (10 in hex), that would be 11 tickets, so you'll only have 1.

Tool Item Code: (durability and single-dimensional customization)

2118 = Item ID for a Fishing Rod
0x = Item durability, counting up (i.e. 00 is max durability)
0y = Customization color; 00 should be the default tool color, in this example, a blue fishing pole.
So far, no items (that I'm aware of) that have quantity should have either durability or customization.

Furniture Item Code: (two-dimensional customization)

0D79 = Item ID for a Wooden Stool
x = Custom Print value (0 = No Custom Print; 1 = Custom Print) CHEATING CUSTOM PRINTS NOT RECOMMENDED (seriously, just use some customization kits)
y = Customization Value 1 (in this case, cushion color)
z = Customization Value 2 (in this case, wood color)

Big thanks to @Lionheartwolf for clarifying and testing how durability/customization work.

EDIT: I've also quoted this in the main post. I intend to write a basic item code generation web tool to stem the people asking how to edit a code in a basic way, or to make one for specific items, but in the meantime, anyone helping can direct them to this post, or to the OP.

Have a question about your Mystery Island Villager code

I would like to have Ankha in my Island, so I have to travel to a Mystery Island and then activate the code only if there's any villager there right?

Or Ankha will appear there when I activate the code? and in what stage of the game I can invite more villagers?

Thanks!

HI all, sorry if this has been addressed, I looked through the forum and couldn't find anything. I have used NHSC to put Raymond into my hacked town, but I want to get him onto my regular switch with my official town, can someone tell me the easiest way to do this? Is it just a matter of getting him into boxes in my hacked town and then using my regular account to come over and have him move in? Sorry if this has been addressed already!!! Thanks for any help!! Also are there any codes that you can use to make a villager go into boxes faster? Or make them move out instantly? I'm trying to get all of my dreamies into my official town as fast as possible lol thanks again!

the special fish codes do they work because i was searching for sharks with them or is that they spawn more in their actual season

can anyone tell me wuts the flag for the town star rating? or if there a way to edit the rating .. thanks :D trying to get the terraforming tool fast.. my save got corrupted so i dont want to spend days fixing the island for a 3 star rating again

You can't just edit your island rating to be higher. It's something that's actively calculated as you play. Having a 10 villagers and a lot of props placed, and flowers growing is the base for 3 stars. Subsequently, if you went on a tree chopping spree and chopped 80% of the trees on your island I believe if you talk to Isabelle one of the complaints will be something about "greenery."

You can use cheats to to get a bunch of props and flowers and etc to make your island pretty nice, really quickly.

Edit - worked it out. It is 0

Can anyone tell me the count number for the yellow crescent moon in nhse? It’s the only colour o need and can’t find it

Are there any ways now to change the hemisphere of the save? Seems I cannot find it in the save editor. Thanks.

Erm.. Guys? I did something REALLY stupid. I used the "Edit Field Items" feature on NHSE and it's now corrupted my save file. It deleted all the important field items (e.g. mailbox) and I don't know how to create the mailbox field item. Can someone help me out please as I don't want to start all over again > . < ..

And yes. I know it was stupid of me to not make a back-up of my save file and I know better now. If someone can help me out as well as to tell me what important field items were suppose to be out, please let me know

if you move your house to another location the mailbox "regenerates" i know this because i made the same mistake and i didnt know how to restore it with the save editor so well move your house with tom nook not with the save editor

What offsets do you edit in your postbox to stop the mail from duping one letter? I used cheats prior to NHSE and now every day I wake up to a full postbox with it being from one sender. I don't want to start over, but if I had some knowledge of how to manipulate the offset so my mailbox won't overflow. Oh and I wanted to TT to get Nook's cranny to open and the Residential Services building to open faster.

@Klavice Gavin Did you manage to figure this out? I'm having the same issue :(

Has anyone been able to get the Bunny Day Basket recipe? I thought it would've been triggered by an event today or something, but nothing so far.

there is no recipe for it. its an item you get, in return, from zipper after giving one of each eggs to him.
