Emunand?
How about you copy another Wii's nand and install it?
Not sure if that's possible.

With all honesty, I've never had a brick with my 2008 Wii. Fortunately :P

You first gotta find out what's causing the brick.
Apparently, this looks like a Semi-Brick and not a full brick where you do need a Nand backup.
Let me see something...

Ok. A little bit of research lead to this information:

Reinstall System Menu, download one with NUS Downloader, and install it with a Wad Manager.

(WiiModLite works as a WAD manager)

Should be, but we don't know for sure what's causing the brick.
Not sure. Cannot boot to menu or get to it by installing a new dash. I stole the dash for 4.3 u on a region change pack that was 4.3 u. Hoping that would work. But nope

wonder if its a nand issue? would a donor nand work?

Hello.:)

Can you try to reach the Health & Safety Warning Screen ?
On that Screen please press an hold the "-" and "+" Buttons on your Wii Motion Controller and press "A" to proceed.
You should reach the Maintance Mode from the Wii.

If you can achieve this, then maybe only a "bad" Channel and/or WAD Installation causes your Troubles.
You can to then into the Wii Settings - Data Mangement - Channels and check it please.

Good Luck
Thank you.:)

NEVER try to restore a NAND image from a different console!

Each console has unique encryption keys and restoring from another unit is writing garbage data. The files from the vWii are not working on a regular Wii anyway.

Can you maybe reach the Priiloader without SD Card attached ?
(Please press and hold "Reset" and Power on the Wii.)

i have it set to hbc so loads to blank hbc but yes can reach prii

Thank you.:)
Very good.

So you have also Access to the Homebrew Channel. You can insert your SD Card and would be able to boot/get into a WAD Manager like Multi Mod Manager or WiiMod Lite an re-install the System Menu WAD File(s).:)

Please Note:
There is a 50:50 Percent Chance this does not work and in the worst Case your Wii is completely "Out of Order" then.

And you have no good NAND Backup so in the worst Case -> that´s it.

Good Luck.:)

P.S. You can use @XFlak´s ModMii to get the needed Files.:)

Hi All,
First, I'm not an expert in Wii "softmodding" and in English, so would you be so kind to be patient with me, I promise I try to explain everything if I can. :)
So the story is the following.
One of my friend got a semi-bricked wii (there were preloader installed and boot2 v2, but there weren't system menu or HBC installed, everything what he try to open or do, that gave error message. I do not know why, but he try to repair the wii with BLIND. And the following information is really foggy.
As he said, he installed or updated the IOS 80 and 254 or some other and maybe changed the IOS to other one, it is really not clear, but when he done his work, the wii gave this screen:
IMG_20200626_182050.jpg

I never see like this one in my life... :)
So, I try to use a practic solution what I know, like "power on+reset" for boot into preloader menu, but it failed.
When I try to use home button on wiimote, the wii reboot.
Of course there isn't any NAND backup.

After this long story I have just one question.
Can I help for him or I have to kill him because of it :)

I thinking about to use a modchip for repair, but I'm not sure that will work... (Usually I always prefer modchips.)

Thank you in advance :)
